Two days after the first-round interview, HR called to arrange a time for a second interview with the direct supervisor. After confirming the time, I arrived promptly at 6:30 p.m. that day. Since it was after business hours, there was no one at the reception desk, so I couldn't get in, which I can understand. However, after someone eventually returned from using the restroom and opened the door for me, no one seemed to know anything about an interview scheduled for that time, no matter how many times they asked. It took 10 minutes of back-and-forth before they finally contacted someone, and I was then taken to the supervisor's office for the interview. The opening questions and conversation were quite ordinary, but... the entire interview lasted only five minutes!!!!! It was even shorter than the time I had just spent waiting at the entrance.... I have never encountered a situation like this before. I can think of several possible reasons: 1. They had already found a suitable candidate. 2. The supervisor thought I was unsuitable after reviewing my résumé. 3. The supervisor had another appointment afterward.... Regardless of the reason, they could have given me any polite explanation in advance, so we wouldn't have had to waste each other's time, right? They are all adults, and this is a well-known company—why couldn't they handle this properly instead of wasting everyone's time? You sat in your office and spent five minutes on me, while I traveled a long way and even took an hour of leave from my company specifically for this.... This was truly an utterly baffling interview experience.... Anyone planning to interview there should think twice.
