There aren't many advantages; the advantage is that layoffs happen quickly.

Employees help the company achieve its targets, yet still end up being laid off. The company's own policies are flawed, but it blames subordinates for not working hard enough. The decision-makers at the top all disappear without a trace, then get promoted after the layoffs and continue drawing high salaries.

Honestly, there are none.

For someone who claims to be like a parent to everyone, all I can say is that in the end, it’s the others who suffer.

Never blame others for anything, but it seems you’re the one enjoying all the benefits?

Everything is someone else’s fault—never the fault of a leader who fails to lead properly?

You always point the finger at others, without seeing what you yourself look like?

All I can say is, at least this company won’t be hiring in Taipei anymore :)

1. The manager is very nice, but may be too busy to have time for you.

2. The work environment is clean and fairly comfortable, but it’s hard to say the same about the people.

3. There’s lots of food to eat, so if you love food, this may be the place for you.

4. The salary is so-so, but the benefits are genuinely good, including Happy Friday, when you can leave work early.

1. There are too many managers, and you don’t know whose instructions to follow.

2. The contract is vague and unclear. Even with a one-year contract, you have to work for six months before receiving the three holiday bonuses. You only find out after joining that this was never explained beforehand.

3. The workplace atmosphere is strange. Certain departments often argue, unfairly bad-mouth others, and spread gossip.

4. Be mentally prepared: contract workers and full-time employees are worlds apart.

5. Overall, I don’t recommend it, but the benefits really are good (and the benefits for full-time employees are even better).

The salary and benefits may be fairly good, compared with Taiwanese companies.

Syngenta, once the world's leading agrochemical company in 2018, made the entire interview process an absolute mess.

The headhunter did not have a JD, and much of the information they relayed did not match up, including even the work location and salary.

HR scheduled the interview for Friday, but the week before, first canceled it and then directly rescheduled it for the next day. There was no room for negotiation—it had to be the next day.

Although the interview was clearly for a different position, and the headhunter had emailed the day before to confirm this with both parties, I was only informed during the interview that the position had not yet been released.

The manager was clearly unfamiliar with the interviewee's résumé, but also had no intention of listening to their self-introduction.

This interview experience truly opened my eyes.

The salary is okay, and sometimes the department provides free group lunches.

Some people are very good at badmouthing others, and some departments waste their time at work. The atmosphere is terrible.

You can slack off.

There are quite a lot of drawbacks, but if you don't care about the work and just want a paycheck, and are willing to slack off, then honestly there are no drawbacks. It's just that the HR expertise is very lacking, and the general manager is very unqualified—that's about it.
