If what the supervisor said is true, the company's benefits are fairly good for a traditional industry company.
If I schedule you for 10 hours of overtime in a week, you have to work those 10 hours. Whether you split it into five sessions of two hours each or come in to work overtime on holidays, I don't care. Once you've finished your own work, go help others. We are a team. If you can't cooperate, your performance evaluation will be somewhat worse. We do have a system for eliminating employees.
I see that you are quite good at [某某] language. Our company currently has a technical partnership with clients from that country, so we very much need someone who can communicate in this language. English is a second language at our company. If I hire you, you'll have to find a way to improve your English on your own. There are plenty of resources online now; it shouldn't be difficult if you put in some effort at home, right?
Your test results during the interview were very good and met our requirements. We have decided to hire you, but you did not graduate with a master's degree, and your previous work is unrelated to our industry, so we can't offer you that high a salary.

After the interview, they asked me to let them know within a week whether I wanted to report for work. I agreed, but before the deadline had even arrived, they notified me that they had found someone else. It felt really bad—this is a company with no integrity.
