Read the community guidelinesThe reviews of this company online are not very good.
I only went for an interview for an overseas business and marketing position.
The supervisor seemed quite kind.
They also took me to have a brief look at the production line
and introduced many of the company's products, namely the machines used in the shoemaking industry,
as well as what it would be like to work in China in the future.
They did not deliberately ask many questions based on my résumé either.
Those being assigned to work in China must first undergo two to three months of training in Puxin. Accommodation in the company's dormitory is available, and the training-period salary is NT$30,000.
After being assigned overseas, the salary is NT$50,000 for the first three months. Only after completing at least three months will an official title be assigned, and the salary will then be adjusted.
There are four trips back to Taiwan per year.
However, I felt that my expertise would not be put to use there,
so I left the company without continuing to ask whether there would be a second interview or anything like that.
I don't know what the actual working conditions are like,
but at least the interview experience did not feel as bad as described online.
No advantages
Personally, I think this company really isn’t suitable for staying at long term.
I strongly, strongly, strongly advise against joining this company. Run while you can.
1. Even if you have worked here for a full three months, although the Labor Standards Act stipulates that you may use annual leave, unfortunately, this company does not allow you to use it. All leave must be taken as personal leave, and your salary will be deducted. If you take more than three days of leave in a month, one additional day’s salary will also be deducted (meaning that if you take three days off, four days’ salary will be deducted).
Additionally, your annual leave entitlement is always one year behind your length of service.
(In other words, you only receive seven days of annual leave in your second year of employment.) However, you cannot take this annual leave either.
2. When summer arrives, office staff cannot even comfortably use the air conditioning—it is unbearably hot.
(The air conditioning may only be turned on for four hours after 10:30 a.m. if the indoor temperature reaches 32°C or above.)
(Even if the temperature reaches the required level on rainy days, the air conditioning still cannot be used.)
3. Using mobile phones at work is completely prohibited, including answering emergency calls from home.
4. All company employees are prohibited from drinking hand-shaken beverages.
