The workplace is noisy. There is a warning posted at the entrance stating that earplugs must be worn in noisy areas, yet earplugs were not provided when new employees reported for work. They were only temporarily provided to employees when a client and the Labor Bureau came by. Whether this is appropriate for the company is for you to judge.

Me: Communicate and discuss it.
Second-generation owner: What if they don’t listen?
Me: Then switch vendors.
Second-generation owner: But they’re the cheapest.
Me: If you don’t care about quality, then use them.
Second-generation owner: No.
Me: Then find someone else. I have another interview later, so don’t waste my time.
Second-generation owner: Didn’t you come here to apply for the job?
