I joined at the end of September 2025. Following my supervisor's instructions, I purchased water, snacks, and other items for client visits. I bought too much to carry, so I also purchased a plastic bag. However, my expense claim was rejected.
The accounting department sent me a December 2023 announcement via private message, saying that bottled water, plastic bags, and similar items could not be reimbursed, citing environmental protection as the reason.
If the 2023 announcement was so important, why couldn't I find it on the company interface? No one informed me in advance either. When I asked my supervisor, he said, “Huh? I buy those too. Next time, don't attach the detailed receipt..........
Moreover, one of the plastic bag charges was added by the store when it delivered the coffee we ordered that day.
I went to reason with the assistant accounting manager, but all they could say was that this was company policy, an announcement was an announcement, and they couldn't make an exception for every new employee.
This is seriously ridiculous. After asking around, it turns out I'm not the only one who has encountered this problem. Sigh!
The interviewer was very polite.
When applying for marketing- or design-related positions, the interview requires you to complete a test. Rather than having you do it on-site, they give you a design brief based on a topic the company would actually use and ask you to complete and submit a design within one day. However, they say that they will not contact you again after you submit it. It feels somewhat like they are trying to obtain reference materials or are taking a scattershot approach. It is recommended that you assess the situation for yourself.
