You can tell from 104 Job Bank that this is not a very good company. I went to the interview, and the interviewer came across as an idiot who asked a bunch of stupid questions. At the beginning, they even conducted some kind of “reaction test.” However, the female employee explained it differently from what he later said, and then told me that all of my answers were wrong. I swear the way the female employee explained how to answer this “reaction test” was different from what he later said. Fine, let’s consider that a minor misunderstanding. Then he started asking the kind of incredibly stupid questions only an idiot would ask, as if he wanted me to keep recounting ancient history. In fact, he isn’t the only company that asks these stupid questions, but his oppressive, repetitive interview style—constantly going around in circles—was truly infuriating. I was already somewhat impatient because this company’s compensation and benefits were not what I was looking for in the first place. Later, he even wanted me to act on the spot and sell something to him. Seeing such a ridiculous situation, I really couldn’t take it anymore. I told him on the spot that I was ending the interview. If the questions and requirements had been communicated in advance—for example, if the appointment email had asked me to prepare a presentation on PTT for that day—then that would have been acceptable. But telling someone who had come unprepared that they were now expected to demonstrate their product was extremely disrespectful. Of course, I could have forced myself to do it, but it felt deeply disrespectful, as though he had deliberately asked me to come just so he could watch me embarrass myself. He was truly an awful person. Are you hiring a salesperson or an actor? First of all, I didn’t become uncomfortable merely because he acted this way from the beginning. It was because he kept going in circles, giving me the feeling that he didn’t believe what I was saying—like a police officer interrogating a suspect. The interview experience was truly, extremely unpleasant, and the company environment was also simply beyond comment. That’s it! Finally, he also seemed to question my English ability, which was absolutely laughable. Of course, I couldn’t stand his interview style halfway through and left first, so he never got the chance to find out how good my English was. Perhaps he thought I had backed down because I knew I couldn’t handle it. I’d like to see what kind of outstanding talent he can find with this kind of interview style! From the moment I walked through the door, I could tell it was definitely a lousy company. I just didn’t expect the interviewer to be so outrageously obnoxious. I was so furious that I had to write about the experience.
