Read the community guidelinesThere may be an opportunity to make some good friends, but all of my colleagues at the time also left the company.
The boss says he is working on a startup, but in reality he is just packaging an entrepreneurial idea in hopes of finding investors willing to provide funding. There is nothing wrong with that as far as entrepreneurship goes, but all the promises he made to the investors fell through one by one. The reason is that he either did not want to fulfill them or was unable to. In addition to private investors, the investors also included government subsidies from the Ministry of Science and Technology. Therefore, with no actual private investment, this company was essentially surviving solely on government subsidies. In reality, the boss himself was simply a research assistant who was very good at writing proposals: one plan with a professor from a college of nursing, another with a professor of medical informatics, and so on. As long as the government approved the plans, there was funding; even when they could not be completed, the government was understanding and lenient, saying, “After all, this is academic research.” But I have to say, this really was not academic research. The company’s output was very clear from the beginning: it only wanted government subsidies and had no intention of completing any actual work.
The boss is actually quite pitiful. He has not realized that he is merely exhausting himself, and he can no longer enter any for-profit company to work as a regular employee, because he is both insecure and arrogant. But people who have truly worked in business would not be fooled by this kind of operating model, so all he can do is continue taking government subsidies.
And during interviews, he selected women who were pretty and had good figures, hoping to create a romantic memory with each girl, enjoying romance and continually pursuing every woman around him. But that is another story.
None at all
They claim to be a startup, but have no core staff whatsoever. They don't even have any engineers, nor any managers familiar with the product. Quite a lot of important work is outsourced or handled by part-time student workers. Unless it's an administrative position, people probably won't stay long after joining.
None
A company that is all appearance and no substance; the person in charge has no industry experience, is unprofessional, and lacks vision. They only make grand promises to employees. The company has no normal source of revenue. They only hire a bunch of interns to keep wages low. It probably won’t last much longer...
