Cons

The company has no corporate culture and hardly any systems in place. Basically, the boss does whatever he wants. The corporate culture depends on the boss’s mood. I’ll start with the boss’s habits: his personal habits are very poor. He likes to stay in the meeting room instead of his own office. Whenever he leaves, there are always tissues he left behind or half-finished drink bottles on the meeting-room table. Sometimes he doesn’t even sort the trash, and employees have to deal with his garbage or wash his cup for him. Whenever he enters the office, he asks customer service to pour him coffee. That’s more or less what his personal habits are like.

As for work matters, he is always out of the loop. Whenever you ask him about a project, he knows nothing about it. Yet, he is the only person in the entire company with decision-making authority. Otherwise, he puts on an indifferent attitude or acts as if everything is very simple, because he only cares about money and face and doesn’t really manage anything else. His attitude when speaking to employees is also very bad, as if everyone who talks to him is an idiot. In reality, he sometimes speaks very illogically himself. In short, there are many more terrible things, too many to list.

The uneven distribution of work is also quite serious. He casually dumps whatever work he wants on whoever he wants, tossing over whatever comes to mind. One employee may receive a pile of work all at once—it just depends on which employee is more unlucky. In short, there’s a high chance that the work you end up doing will be very different from what was described during the interview.

The company often holds events or has exhibitions that require manpower. Since the company is small, it’s reasonable for most people to help out at events. However, there is no overtime pay for working at events on holidays, nor is extra compensatory leave provided. You only receive compensatory leave for the original number of hours; no additional hours are given. If any products are sold, the commission is only 2%, so everyone’s willingness to work at events is extremely low.
