Italians are cheerful, and they are good at having fun and joking around.

1. The stingy, bald boss

During the Lunar New Year period, he calculated 23 days of pay for employees instead of paying for a full month, yet said that all his friends calculate it this way too (is this in accordance with the Labor Standards Act?)

The regular days off are all day Tuesday and half a day Wednesday, but we still have to arrive early for that half day. What am I supposed to do during that half day?

2. Split shifts. He often has Italian friends come over to eat and chat with him; they are noisy and loud, and they don't give anyone a chance to rest.

3. Even though business is booming, he keeps cutting back on staff and resources. We don't even have a dishwasher anymore; he won't even hire part-time workers. When he does hire them, he complains that they're not good enough.

He wants to find part-time workers who can do everything, but doesn't give them many shifts. New full-time employees are paid very little and still have to do a trial period; if their performance is unsatisfactory, he simply doesn't keep them on.

They don't get any shifts, and they can't learn anything.
