Pros

1. There is a very greasy and salty employee cafeteria. It can count as a benefit, haha.

Cons

Everyone outside describes it very nicely as a startup company, but after joining, you realize that it is not what outsiders say at all.....

Please do not come here to waste your talent and ideals ..... by joining this fake startup company.

1. The old employees’ way of thinking prevails; what they say goes..

2. The team leader does not give you room to perform. They say that any ideas can be brought up for discussion, but although they agree on the surface, they actually look for trouble behind the scenes.

3. There is no planning or schedule for getting things done.

4. There are major problems with cross-departmental communication.

5. Work plans and arrangements are only brought up when the deadline is approaching.

6. The front-end RD team leader can play mobile games during work hours and chat with colleagues, and nobody can do anything about it.

7. They really like to wait until just before the end of the workday to come and ask you about things......

8. They fundamentally do not understand the importance of testing; in reality, everything is decided by that team leader.

9. There is no documentation or specification—everything is communicated verbally.

10. As long as you have a good relationship with the team leader, you can apparently do things however you want.

11. The team leader is extremely disrespectful toward newcomers’ ideas.

Pros

Let me think.

1. The new hire sitting across from me can take naps every day (does that count as a benefit?)

2. As long as you maintain a good relationship with the team leader, no one monitors your work progress.

3. The senior manager doesn’t understand technology, so as long as you can bluff your way through, you can have a pretty easy time.

4. The title in the interview is different from the one when you actually onboard, but HR will tell you that you can claim the position you wanted “externally.”

Cons

1. The head of the technical department doesn’t interview technical staff, leaving it to the RD managers below. The RD manager likes to hold onto power, so apart from “her,” no one is officially a manager.

2. All IT decisions are ultimately overturned by the so-called female IT manager; the so-called IT department treats only her opinion as the department’s opinion.

3. Whether or not you clock in and out depends entirely on your position and influence in the company. As for having to clock in and out, I always thought only traditional companies did that.

4. The managers’ thinking is really self-centered: they can’t take advice and can’t see the future. It’s suitable for those looking to coast toward retirement.

Pros

Large-scale company projects

Generous vacation policy

Managers generally do not obstruct leave requests; colleagues in the team often take leave to travel abroad

Cons

The HR department is extremely unprofessional.

During the interview, I asked whether motorcycle parking was available.

HR said yes, but did not mention that after joining the company, employees would need to queue to apply for a parking permit.

It took four months before I could legally park there (finding a parking space independently was nearly impossible; everyone parked illegally on the sidewalks).

During the interview, I asked HR how much the year-end bonus was.

The answer I received was one month’s salary.

Only after joining did I learn that the year-end bonus was available only to employees whose performance ranked in the top few percent of the company.

Moreover, the performance evaluation method for new employees was extremely strange.

The manager said, “You have only been here for a short time, so it is impossible for you to achieve the same performance as someone who has worked for a full year.”

Therefore, there was no year-end bonus.

The work SOPs were also a complete mess.

Different people in the same team were responsible for technical work and management,

which made it easy for new employees to feel lost, with no standard to follow.

Pros

There is a meal allowance, five days of travel leave, and some small perks (Friday afternoon tea), but nothing else.

Cons

1. After the massive layoffs in 2025, work handovers became completely chaotic. Internal staff have been constantly cleaning up the mess, everyone has to take on multiple roles, and even suppliers can barely find anyone to contact.

2. After the layoffs, the company said it would use AI, but then discovered that its AI technology could not keep up and started looking again for people willing to work for low salaries.

3. The company likes holding grandiose meetings, telling everyone about the goals and direction for the year, but no one listens. Afterward, everyone still works independently, with no coordination or connection.

4. The video and social media colleagues have a very high-and-mighty attitude. Even arranging a shoot requires everyone to beg them, and they will also choose the locations they want to visit. Yet the videos they produce are all repetitive and completely lacking in originality.

5. To get promoted and receive a raise, you must first work hard for a year and rank among the top 30% of your department. Then you must give a presentation and be evaluated by managers from other departments who are unfamiliar with your work to determine whether you pass.

6. There are many people here who have returned for a second or third time. Most of those who return are not particularly capable; they may simply have good relationships with certain managers.

7. I do not recommend applying unless you want to become a hero in a chaotic world. However, you may first be defeated by workplace PUA and cross-departmental “non-communication,” or be added to the layoff list after completing your project.

KKday’s HR is extremely unprofessional == they were basically wasting my time. They asked questions about execution, and when I explained the actual implementation process truthfully, the HR representative couldn’t understand and kept repeatedly asking the same questions. Were these interview questions searched from ChatGPT?

1. HR clearly didn’t understand what was written in the JD.

2. Lacked communication skills and could only keep repeating the same questions, completely talking past me.

Moreover, after checking this HR representative’s background, I found that they did not come from a professional field and were not in a managerial role, yet they were responsible for screening candidates in the first round and insisted on asking professional questions, only to end up unable to understand the answers and repeatedly waste the applicant’s time. This makes me question the design of this company’s interview process.

This kind of HR should be laid off along with your company’s AI transformation.

Everyone except HR seems easy to get along with

When HR brought up the salary range

and directly asked, “Do you think we’re running some kind of illegal business?”

If you can’t afford to pay it, you don’t have to discuss it.

After looking up the company’s benefits online, I personally think the only advantages are the provided meals, remote work, shuttle bus, and travel.

Cons

Your company’s HR is really very unprofessional. If this is meant to be a first-round interview, I suggest saying so clearly instead of disguising it as a “brief explanation of the position”....... It was scheduled for 15–30 minutes, but ended up taking 40 minutes. Probably only about 5 minutes were spent discussing the position; the rest of the time was spent trying every possible way to get information out of you. No matter how you answer, they immediately ask, “Why did you answer that way?” Honestly, it was very uncomfortable—they just kept going in circles. Even when I had questions about the position, they immediately asked why I wanted to ask,,,,what is this supposed to be? Is this an interview or a guessing game?

You can work from home; that is the only advantage.

Cons

I have never encountered trainers with such a terrible attitude! Every time I asked a question during class, they either said, “I already said that just now!” or gave an irrelevant answer. Have you ever considered that the problem might be with your communication skills? Asking them questions on Slack was no different: they either dismissively said, “It’s in the presentation,” or mocked me for daring to ask such a stupid question. There was a problem with the exam questions, so I pointed it out. Then I rationally explained to them why the wording of the question was problematic, but they refused to accept it and even made snide remarks about me behind my back, going to complain to my manager. My manager jumped down my throat without understanding anything, haha. Just to save face, they insisted that people accept an unreasonable answer like 1+1=3. This was the first time I had ever encountered trainers like that. In the end, I resigned after only two weeks because I really couldn’t take it anymore.

Friends who are thinking of joining, don’t—absolutely not. You deserve better. The people there won’t treat you like a human being. They are always right, while we newbies are always wrong. If you disagree with what they say, you’ll be considered impolite and disrespectful. Believe me, there are better companies out there.

There are five days of travel leave, remote work is possible, subsidized lunch is provided, and there is a shuttle bus.

Cons

I strongly, strongly do not recommend taking any position for the Taiwan market. It is an extremely bad deal. Even after ten years, the company is more chaotic than a startup. Fresh graduates can work here, but should not stay too long or they may become complacent. People with experience who care about their time and résumé really should not come.

Pros

1. Two remote-work days per week

2. Lunch subsidy (although the fixed options aren't very tasty)

3. Using a Mac computer (does that count as a benefit?)

4. Shuttle bus between Songshan and the company

5. Occasional cheap trips—terrible timing, but cheap

Cons

1. Every single review you see is~~~~~~completely true (still employed as of February 2024)

2. The company is extremely idealistic. Senior executives each act independently, cross-departmental communication is severely impaired, and although they make it look as if they listen to everyone's suggestions, they actually don't.

3. It looks young, but its thinking is actually extremely, extremely traditional—a traditional Taiwanese company packaged to resemble a foreign multinational.

4. Company members fall into two categories. The first consists of people who have stayed for a long time and have little or no work experience at other companies, yet somehow possess inexplicable confidence and are arrogant frogs in a well. Some of them are even young people aged 25–35. The second consists of relatively older senior managers from other companies who, dazzled by the company's glamorous appearance, settled for working here. They have ability and experience but cannot put them to use because they are blocked by the former group.

5. The aforementioned young long-timers have a habit of bullying newcomers. They make things difficult over every little work-related matter and use an attitude of “I'll see how capable you really are” to gang up on their own colleagues.

6. “Embracing change” is the company's euphemism for constantly changing its mind. It reorganizes whenever there is nothing else to do, and your inbox is constantly receiving organizational restructuring emails.

7. A large part of the business doesn't even know what it's doing. In terms of product diversity, it falls short of competitors; in terms of supplier management, it can only act as a messenger. Instead of developing products, it spends all day encroaching on other departments' responsibilities. Managers let their subordinates do whatever they want, incapable people occupy highly ranked positions, and for some reason, the smaller someone's contribution to revenue, the louder they speak.

8. It's a truly unfortunate company. It probably doesn't even know what its founding goals and original mission were. It originally had the resources to develop properly, but the company only measures every department's goals by performance while providing no budget. It also has many incompetent, loud-mouthed deadweight employees. It really deserves to lose badly to its competitors.

Finally, you might ask whether I recommend coming here.

If you want to save money, feel a sense of accomplishment, and build your résumé,

honestly, there are better places to go. Don't come here to be busy for nothing.

But if you care “only” about work-life balance, you could come here—at most for a year.

Oh, right: the year-end bonus is much, much lower than those at ordinary traditional-industry companies.

Pros

Calls itself a startup, but it doesn’t really feel like one.

Cons

1. The interview process was very strange. The person I interviewed with the first time was not the manager of the department I would be joining; instead, they assigned an engineer from another department, which felt like they were just going through the motions with the candidate.

2. During the second interview, the manager explained what responsibilities I would have if I joined and said they hoped I could come in and help handle things.

3. HR also attended the second interview. They didn’t seem to have much experience and wanted to end the interview as quickly as possible.

4. A few days later, I was notified that I needed to do a third interview. I wondered why they couldn’t just have everyone attend at once. Altogether, the three interviews took nearly a month.

5. I don’t know what was wrong with the manager in the third interview. They emphasized their high level of education, nitpicked technical questions, and then started chatting about things unrelated to the job.

6. Halfway through the conversation, the manager even had to stop and deal with other matters. Weren’t they supposed to set aside time for the interview? It was extremely disrespectful. They were incredibly high-handed.

Pros

The company benefits discussed during the interview are very good, the company values its employees, and it has a lot of potential.

Cons

When there’s an issue, you can’t find the manager.

Cases and performance targets chase you around, with pressure placed on employees through statements like “If you don’t meet them, it will affect your performance evaluation, raises, and so on.”

During work hours, there are also various courses and exams that take up the time you should be spending on your “performance.”

I just want to tell job seekers: “Run.”

(The turnover rate is very high; half of the people who joined at the same time have already left.)

Looking at past discussions, the HR staff have not improved either. They still go silent after promising to follow up.

There are quite a few steps in the interview process, and after completing them, they simply ghost you. It is extremely disrespectful.

They do not respond either—is it really so difficult to send a canned thank-you email?

Regular working hours, no overtime (voluntary overtime does not count)

Afternoon tea and lunch subsidies

Cons

It is recommended that people without an information technology or computer science degree not consider applying for the company’s software engineering positions, because the company places great importance on computer science degrees (this is not mentioned in the job description). Non-majors have limited career development opportunities at the company.

Position: Hong Kong and Macau travel product supply chain management specialist

My nationality: Malaysia

Overall, even before I joined this company, I already knew what HR’s attitude was like. It may also be that foreigners working in Taiwan are treated as disposable commodities that can be discarded at any time. Because my work permit could not be approved, my offer was canceled and I was directly abandoned by the company. At that time, I still thought it was fine. Due to negligence by my previous company, I was unable to obtain my work permit properly. Without resolving the work permit issue, I would not be able to legally look for work or work in Taiwan. However, when the HR representative of KuYou canceled my offer over the phone, they also told me to keep going and suggested that I consider looking for another job. I was genuinely speechless about this.

Then I thought it was fine again, since the most urgent matter at that point was to resolve the work visa issue. I therefore had to ask them for the reference number of the document they had submitted to the Ministry of Labor on my behalf. That reference number cost me an entire day. They originally said on Friday that they would provide it after the May 1 holiday. After waiting a day, I called to ask, and they said they were busy in a meeting and would call me again at 17:40. In the end, they still made me wait for more than an hour without contacting me.

I wrote an email and also contacted another HR representative who had been coordinating with me at the time. They also said they would reply the next morning, but I am still waiting to this day.

I really cannot understand this. Even taking a short amount of time to reply to my email would have been enough; I was not even asking them to call me. They could not provide me with even a single reference number. After canceling my offer, they treated me as if I were invisible and left me waiting on the sidelines. It was truly an awful feeling! They initially said they would provide all the assistance needed, but now I only need them to provide one reference number and the contact details of the Ministry of Labor representative handling the case, so that my previous company can process it for me—and they cannot even do that.

Their HR department is truly irresponsible. I am very glad in the end that my offer was canceled. A company that has no sense of responsibility in handling matters and only keeps dragging things out gives people absolutely no sense of a future.

There were two iOS interviewers, both engineers.

One belonged to the department with the open position, while the other did not.

Most of the questions were asked by the engineer from the other department.

The process consisted of an introduction to my experience,

with questions raised and discussed along the way.

Development uses Rx.

The atmosphere was acceptable.

The difficulty was average.

The HR representative seemed to be in a great hurry.

The explanations were presented in a formal, scripted manner.

However, they did make a considerable effort to explain the rumors circulating online.

Their level of professionalism also seemed rather average.

Cons

1. The more interesting point is that iOS is divided into three teams,

but the teams do not know the scope of one another’s responsibilities.

Yet during the interview, someone was brought in to provide support.

2. The salary range was clearly inconsistent with what was stated in the JD.

For example, the stated range might be 100–200,

but after HR’s explanation, the offer could be at most around 120.

This is truly a waste of everyone’s time.

In addition, the newly raised funds will probably focus on overseas markets.

Everyone can assess the potential related costs for themselves.

The senior manager is very capable. I’d like to work with him.

Cons

The discussions went very smoothly at first, but toward the end I was absolutely furious and thought the whole thing was ridiculous and a complete waste of time. HR made a verbal offer to me but didn’t give me a figure, and only told me two days later. I said I wanted two days to think it over before getting back to them, but that same afternoon I called HR back to say I was willing to join. Then I discovered that they had also made a verbal offer to someone else, and since the other candidate responded before I did, my offer was gone just like that. HR’s attitude was extremely dismissive, and they even thought what they had done was right. Their words were condescending and showed that they thought highly of themselves. They even turned around and said that I didn’t take the offer seriously, which was why they asked someone else. But shouldn’t they have waited for my response before moving on to the next candidate? Besides, I’m currently employed—is asking for two days to think it over really excessive? When HR first made the verbal offer, they didn’t even tell me the amount, yet kept asking me for an answer. How was I supposed to know how much they were going to offer? An extremely unprofessional and incompetent HR person who can still become a manager. There’s a reason the online reviews are so bad. Fortunately, I didn’t end up joining.

Pros

1. The colleagues are all very easygoing and lively, and you can speak freely.

2. The managers are mostly pretty clueless and don’t know right from wrong, so they’re easy to deal with and there’s relatively little pressure.

3. Because the company is in a remote area, you can order employee lunch boxes, and there are also inexpensive vending machines inside the company.

Cons

1. At work, you’re expected to follow the company’s six core values: 1. Work earnestly, love life 2. Dare to think 3. Take responsibility 4. Embrace change 5. The customer comes first—I can’t remember the sixth one.

However, when you ask managers to explain the six core values, they’ll just start joking around and make things up.

2. Colleagues who like small insects are welcome to work here—the company is constantly overrun with cockroaches.

3. There are a bunch of well-connected relatives who do nothing all day. They’re either chatting and goofing off or riding skateboards. If you have a professional question, you’ll get an answer more efficiently from Google.

4. The organization changes every few days—faster than a woman’s heart changes—making you feel as if you’ve changed jobs at three or four different companies after working here for a year.

5. Most importantly, this company doesn’t rely on fundraising, so it will probably reach the end very soon. Job seekers, please choose carefully.

Pros

1. Very good at packaging things, with many activities that look glamorous on the surface.

2. A global pioneer: when the tourism industry around the world was affected by the pandemic, employees did not have to take unpaid leave at all. Instead, they were given “recharging travel leave,” and encouraged to take as much of it as possible—it was simply unpaid. (After the pandemic is over, there will certainly be press releases saying where employees went and what they learned. In short, it will be packaged very beautifully; please refer to point one.)

3. Generally treats employees very well, and never dismisses employees no matter how problematic their performance is. A once-in-a-century major personnel purge. There is absolutely no problem with the company’s cash flow, because many people were dismissed for performing too poorly—definitely not because the pandemic caused business to decline and required downsizing.

4. Employees can purchase various products at a discount. In addition to basic souvenirs, this also includes company-chartered vehicles and child safety seats.

This was previously an interview for an intern position. The total interview time was one hour. During the first half hour, I had a fairly good conversation with an engineer, but the second half hour with the supervisor felt very unpleasant. They asked me about my plans for future work, and I said that I might primarily consider salary and join a semiconductor company in Taiwan, and so on. If you rejected me because my plans and expectations for the position did not align, I could accept that. However, that supervisor kept making me feel as though my life plans were wrong and kept telling me to go back and think things through carefully. I really don't understand. Everyone has their own plans; you have no right to interfere with my life plans. I felt extremely uncomfortable after the interview.

The office is very new.

Cons

The supervisor has anger management issues and frequently yells and screams. Even people from other departments are afraid of them.

Basically, whenever someone makes a mistake, the supervisor gives them a hard time, and they are also very rude when speaking. The atmosphere in the other departments sharing the same office is cheerful, while our corner is filled with tension.

I said in the middle of the month that I would work until the end of the month, but the night before the schedule was made, they emailed to say that I would not be scheduled for any shifts before my last day and only needed to go in on my last day to complete the formalities. In other words, they prevented me from working and still made me make an extra trip specifically for this.

The company has no systems in place and also has a very serious hierarchy. I heard that one department’s year-end bonus is calculated based on their full salary, while other departments’ bonuses are calculated based on their base salary.

Position: Java Engineer

HR phone interview and preparation beforehand: I scheduled an interview with HR for 10 a.m. the day after tomorrow. During the call, they told me to complete the résumé, online assessment, and personality test before the interview (about three hours in total). The manager would refer to the above materials during the interview.

Assessment content: Binary search, finding how many 1s are in 11 to the nth power, and one question I forgot.

On the day of the interview: A senior engineer conducted the interview, saying that the person responsible for Java was unavailable, so he would conduct it instead. (Why not mention this or postpone the interview beforehand? Although the position was for a Java engineer, I was interviewed by another senior engineer, so there was clearly a gap in communication during the handover.) He then said: “I can see from your résumé that you have quite extensive experience. There’s no problem with your technical skills, so I won’t ask about them.” (Was that because I scored nearly full marks on the online assessment, so he didn’t ask?) “But I’d like to ask about your views on architecture...” He then asked many questions and sought solutions (e.g., how to handle a large transaction volume, how to ensure data integrity, how I would adjust the above situations, etc.). After being questioned for nearly half an hour, I felt that something was strange, so I asked in return: “May I ask whether this problem is one of KKday’s current architectural bottlenecks? If so, after I’m fortunate enough to join the company, we can work on finding a solution together.” He admitted that it was a problem they were facing and that he wanted to hear how I would handle it, then added sarcastically: “Sigh, I just want to know how you deal with these difficulties and see how capable you are at solving problems.”

Hmm... Was he treating me as a free consultant to seek solutions and became embarrassed after being caught, or did he think I couldn’t answer and therefore lacked ability...?

After I questioned him, that senior engineer, Amos, said nothing more and only stated that he would ask the manager to interview me again.

Manager interview: She asked me to briefly introduce myself. After chatting for a while, she said that I was very capable and had many ideas, but that their company could not retain me, blah blah. “Do you still want to continue with the HR interview?” I threw the question back to her: “If you think the interview should end here, it’s fine not to continue.” The interview ended immediately afterward.

Takeaways:

1. I was interviewed by a senior engineer rather than the technical manager.

2. The senior engineer treated me only as a free architecture consultant.

3. The personality test and online assessment were not mentioned at all, which makes it seem that the interview had been planned in advance.

4. After chatting with the female manager, I also realized that she knew the senior engineer had been consulting me rather than interviewing me, making the motive for inviting me to interview even more questionable.

5. It’s just a pity that Tianyancha only gave them one negative rating rather than an extremely negative one.

Had very pleasant conversations with the CPO, PM, and HR.

Cons

Ultimately got blocked at the CEO stage! Felt extremely disrespected. There was no interview at the final stage at all—I was rejected by HR in a phone call. I would advise your company to properly understand what kind of person the boss is looking for; otherwise, there really is no need to waste so much time.

Pros

It only has its initial brand image, I suppose.

Cons

The senior executives at this company are almost all people who are good at appearances but lack solid capabilities, and who like to take credit and wield power. As a result, the company has no strategy in its management, and its operations are also a complete mess. Under such disorganized processes, the quality of the products and services it can provide to customers is truly concerning. No wonder it is full of negative reviews. It is a company with no ability to generate profits on its own, relying on fundraising to extend its lifespan.

Pros

Having travel leave is quite nice.

Cons

Always spending time processing expense claims—everything has to follow procedures, which is a huge waste of time.

Sometimes, because things are too urgent, employees are asked to pay upfront...

There have even been times when salaries were paid late!!!

Basically, everything is handled manually; it feels extremely 1980s.

Pros

The atmosphere is free and relaxed, Macs are provided, there are snacks and toilet paper, and there are many opportunities to use foreign languages.

Cons

The management team is weak and unable to direct or supervise effectively. Apart from being good at making things sound nice, they have little substantive ability. This company is clearly not that great, yet they have no idea what they are so proud of. Some managers are also particularly fond of pushing tasks onto others. For workers who value career planning and improving their own abilities, this is definitely not a good choice.

Pros

Open and free atmosphere

Cons

The company is located in an old commercial building. The environment is very poor, the restrooms are extremely dirty and outdated, and the pantry is rudimentary and often has no water.

Because the building’s old air-conditioning system already had problems, the air conditioning frequently broke down with 70 or 80 people crowded on one floor. They used the planned relocation as an excuse not to properly address the air-conditioning issues. According to coworkers, they had been saying they would move for a year before actually doing so, showing extremely poor administrative efficiency. They also used the move as a reason not to install a time clock, requiring 70 or 80 people every day to go to another floor to clock in and out. They even try to save money on such a minor expense, which is simply speechless.

After joining, I also discovered that the benefits were different from what was stated in the job listing: there were no stock options and no unlimited snacks.

In addition, internal power struggles are severe. Those who monopolize power seem afraid that people below them will take away their know-how, so they are unwilling to share what they know.

1. The technical manager gives me a lot of room to contribute. I can bring up and discuss any ideas, and there is no high-pressure management.

2. The colleagues I have collaborated with on projects are all thoughtful and highly capable, and I have learned quite a lot from them.

3. Most of my colleagues are easy to get along with.

Cons

1. The office is a bit basic.

2. Cross-departmental communication is sometimes not very smooth and requires considerably more effort.

Pros

Not every single person looks so arrogant.

Cons

An extremely rude company

Terrible beyond words

They said they would schedule a second interview, but in the end there was no follow-up

After I emailed to ask about the next steps, they did not even reply

If they had no intention of proceeding, they should not have kept saying there would be a second interview

They seem to think their company is extremely capable

The job posting said they use ReactJS, but when I arrived, they said the company uses VueJS

It was truly jaw-dropping

Does the company itself not even know what architecture it uses?

It would be fine if they said they used a VueJS architecture to build their products

But after looking at the website's code, even the travel website only had SSR partially implemented

No wonder their SEO is so pitiful

I alone could do everything everyone at your company does

I advise anyone planning to interview not to waste their time and life on this terrible company

It is actually pretty funny that Line invests

They only invest in some really lousy companies

None!!

What a terrible company. I strongly advise everyone not to waste your life at this company; it is absolutely not worth putting in so much effort. Thank you to the company for giving me an annual bonus (a full NT$500). After working so hard for the company and putting in more than a year, I have truly learned a lesson today: the salary payment schedule and annual bonus are completely nontransparent, and there is no way to know the exact payment date. I only found out about the bonus when a colleague told me today that it had already been paid. Moreover, there is no way to see the annual bonus performance rating or anything else; there is no specific written explanation at all. What are these evaluation criteria? All I know is that I received exactly NT$500. At that moment, I felt a mixture of emotions. I am truly helpless and disappointed. This has shown me how the company treats its employees. Thank you very much for the company’s cultivation.

It’s not that I’m inexperienced—I’ve also worked elsewhere for quite some time. You might as well not have given this bonus at all. When I told my family and friends about it, they were completely dumbfounded too. All I can say is, don’t be fooled by the company’s outward appearance; internally, it is a complete mess. The turnover rate is also extremely high, and there are only a few colleagues with more than a year of seniority—you can count them on three fingers. By all means, do not join this company!!!

The benefits are probably that you get a Mac.

But everyone works with dual monitors = double the workload.

Free snacks and toilet paper

Cons

Although all the coworkers are young, they’re also extremely mean.

The seats are very close together, and they’ll criticize you to people sitting nearby—deliberately making sure you can hear.

The work atmosphere is also quite gloomy, with no sense of energy or liveliness.

When coworkers are supposed to train you on your work, they generally wait until you’re almost off work and then dump everything on you,

so you can’t leave on time and have to stay an extra half hour or hour—just enough to ensure you receive no overtime pay.

On make-up workdays, you’re also forced to participate in company-organized activities.

I heard that if employees in departments requiring shifts don’t participate in make-up workdays, they’re forced to take leave.

The office is in an old residential neighborhood and is spread across different floors, making it very inconvenient to contact other departments for assistance.

The restrooms are also extremely old and filthy.

In short, this company is just wearing a fake startup-company façade.

In reality, it’s full of old-fashioned managers and unnecessary employees.

When I submitted my resignation, HR even taunted me by saying that I wouldn’t get a good job anyway.

They gave their own first job as an example, saying they also worked very late every day after joining and never complained.

After hearing that, all I could think was: Aren’t you complaining to me right now? And didn’t you also leave that job? ^ ^?

If you have any enthusiasm for working at a startup,

don’t come here and waste your talent and ideals.

A fake startup company

Have you heard of it? Although I usually use Klook XD

Cons

The offices are scattered across different buildings, but both buildings look quite old and run-down, which is different from what I imagined KKday would be.

The employees inside look quite young. The office layout is a bit strange; one of the pantries is partitioned off with simple cabinets, which feels rather makeshift. In another office, the restroom is outside and very shabby—it looks a lot like a haunted house.

During the interview, some questions were answered irrelevantly, and they kept asking what the interviewee thought KKday needed to improve. Of course, I just gave a casual answer. Later, I asked about the turnover rate, and a certain manager immediately said it was very stable and that the benefits were very good, which was completely different from what people here had said. So I decided to take it with a grain of salt. The environment was not particularly good, and the manager’s answers also gave me the impression that they were glossing over the important points, so I politely declined afterward.

The R&D division of labor is well-defined; there is an R&D team, according to the interviewer.

The interviewer’s thinking is rather traditional. The technical questions did not distinguish between candidates and felt more like an attempt to make things difficult for them.

Pros

1. It’s really easy to slack off (because there are so many redundant employees and no one is responsible for anything important)

2. There used to be quite a few young, capable, and idealistic new employees, but this advantage has almost disappeared because nearly all the good people have been driven out of the company by the bad driving out the good

3. It’s very easy to get by. People who have no intention of working can just coast every day and happily leave on time. As long as they don’t offend the powers that be, they won’t be highlighted

Cons

1. Unfortunately, most of the managers can only be described as useless. They have no e-commerce sense, are too young and inexperienced in management yet pretend to know everything, and are unwilling to accept suggestions from experienced new hires. This is the first time I’ve seen managers run a team with no KPIs, no strategy, and no execution ability, yet still be praised as excellent and elevated by the boss—a truly bizarre sight

2. Other than performance, there are almost no quantifiable KPIs at all. No one reviews the effectiveness of each project or reflects on how to improve. Everyone at the company is in a state of pretending to be busy every day

3. Office politics are rampant. Managers have inner circles made up of relatives and favorites; people are recruited and appointed based on connections rather than ability. Many people whose capabilities and actual performance seriously call their positions into question continue to occupy senior management roles, which is incomprehensible

4. The systems and order-processing workflows are unbelievably manual, making you wonder whether this company has the nerve to call itself an e-commerce company

5. Zero product thinking. The company doesn’t care at all about user experience or operational efficiency because investors only want to see attractive short-term numbers and marketing campaigns that look large in scale at first glance. The painfully difficult back-office system can take two years to queue even a single request, and it would not be an exaggeration to say so. Immediate revenue is the only thing that matters. Why spend money improving the system when you can just hire more disposable young workers to do everything manually?

I sincerely advise young people who want to learn not to join this company. When it comes to learning e-commerce operations, business development, and marketing, there is almost no one left at this company who can teach you; they are even too lazy to share or discuss things with new employees. As for learning work methods and company processes, this company has no system whatsoever and can be described as a completely negative example.

Pros

1. There really are snacks, but not every day.

2. Oh~ there are Macs, but they aren’t necessarily brand-new—you still have to rely on luck.

3. It’s great working with many young, capable new colleagues, but they generally don’t stay long.

4. It’s easy to take time off, and being free to move around during working hours is a great perk!

Cons

1. The office isn’t plain and simple—it’s old. There are no desktop computers or extensions; more than a dozen people in one unit share a single company phone. It’s true that Macs are provided, but they don’t come with any software, and having to switch to Office for communication is really inconvenient. Not having Outlook would be fine, but at least provide a directory. Otherwise, when communicating across departments, just finding the right person takes up half the time.

2. The writers hired for recruitment are very skilled. They paint an IPO dream that will never come true for passionate, idealistic young people, just to cover up the fact that all they can offer is peanuts. It’s not that there’s no money, but it can only be spent on packaging the company’s image and boosting revenue, supposedly because it makes the company easier to sell. As for the chaotic internal workflows and manual processes, it’s not that your eyes are clouded by bad karma—the boss simply doesn’t think these things are important. They accept lots of speaking engagements to create an image of an open startup in front of young people, but inside, it’s a traditional handicraft business. They keep shouting about going public and getting listed—what market is a company that goes to such lengths to evade taxes supposed to list on? Seriously? Now they say they want to sell to an international brand, so they’ve started looking for reputation-management companies to clean up their reviews. If they manage to sell, I’ll sincerely wish them well.

3. Office politics and cliques are extremely serious. Some people become high-ranking officials as shareholders at a young age but do nothing except cause trouble everywhere. The more you do, the more mistakes you make; do nothing and you make no mistakes~ People who actually work are constantly picked on, so they might as well spend their time chatting and eating with the boss’s favored son. Don’t take sides, and don’t stand out too much either—you’ll be an eyesore and then get terminated.

4. Finally, some advice for friends who were dazzled by the recruitment copy written by the writers: These people’s real estate and savings are things you could never earn in your lifetime working for someone else. They play a buy-and-sell game. If you’re still interested, remember that salary and leave are negotiable—negotiate for more for yourself.

You get to see many business models in the travel industry that ordinary consumers and users would not encounter, which is quite interesting.

The systems and product iteration speed are not yet fast enough, but everyone seems quite serious about discussing and developing the company’s future product direction.

There are many young people and female colleagues in the company, which makes the workplace quite pleasant to look at.

It is quite common for colleagues to take time off to travel; colleagues often take more than one or two weeks off to travel abroad.

Cons

The office decor is neither particularly impressive nor comfortable—perhaps they want to preserve the start-up’s ethos of working hard under difficult conditions.

The number of employees has grown a bit too quickly, and departments are spread across different floors, making communication difficult.

The leave is very generous, the colleagues are young and easy to get along with, and a Mac is provided.

Cons

There are many cliques. Upper management only values Marketing and BD; other departments are merely tools. Watch out for those long-timers who have been here for four years—they lack ability and only know how to block others and take credit. There is a significant gap in staffing: some people have been here for four or five years, but almost everyone with two or three years has left. There are many, many new faces with less than a year at the company. Don’t expect to learn much here. The so-called startup is just a facade; its governance model is no different from that of a traditional company.

Pros

- Some colleagues are very easy to get along with; honestly, those people are the only good thing about this company

Cons

- The atmosphere at the company is dead silent—so dead silent that you’ll be unable to concentrate or move

- Many high-ranking people at the company are shareholders, so there are often useless people = managers = people who order you to do idiotic things

- Building on that, as long as you aren’t one of the emperor’s relatives, you can be sidelined and exiled to the frontier at any time if the major shareholders take a dislike to you

- The division of labor is uneven; some people are very idle while others are extremely busy. At this company, you either have nothing to do or an endless amount of work

- Don’t assume this company is a glamorous startup. Its benefits are unbelievably poor, and even the basic office is far from presentable

- This company is a traditional industry company. This company is a traditional industry company. This company is a traditional industry company. (Very important, so I’ll say it three times.)

- Other than the relatively easygoing colleagues mentioned above, everyone else is very cliquish and exclusionary. The clique mentality is extremely strong, and political infighting never stops

- This company has a department called "BD - Business Development." The name sounds glamorous, but it is actually a product development department. The company’s power revolves around this department; if you don’t flatter them, prepare to suffer the consequences endlessly

- The company’s revenue has been declining day by day. Whenever a new competitor appears, the inside of the company descends into chaos, while the shareholder-managers are helpless and begin meddling randomly in internal affairs

Advice for people considering joining this company:

- If you’re a fresh graduate, go to another company. This company isn’t worth spending one or two years of your time on

- If you love startups, this isn’t a startup—it’s a traditional industry company

- If you like challenges, go to another company. This company offers no challenges, only people making things difficult for you

Pros

1. Colleagues are all very easy to get along with. Since everyone enjoys traveling, people can provide pretty good advice about "playing" and traveling.

2. The company provides an additional three days of travel leave, and taking leave is not very difficult. However, the company itself does not have a very完善代理人制度, so sometimes you may still be disturbed by work-related matters while on leave.

Cons

1. Some supervisors' work management abilities need improvement. Although they can propose plans that look good on the surface, they have not considered practical execution issues. Work processes are not carefully organized, resulting in many things being abandoned halfway through or even requiring others to finish them.

2. Systems are the lifeblood of an e-commerce company. Unfortunately, the company has assigned many procedures to be carried out manually instead, thereby losing the value of being an e-commerce company.

3. The supplier management system is not well established, and many products are put on sale before their quality has been confirmed.

The colleagues are all very easy to get along with.

They do provide Macs and snacks.

It's fairly easy to take leave.

Cons

As mentioned on Glassdoor and in other posts here, the benefits are not particularly comprehensive, there isn't much room for growth, and most importantly, the management team's operational thinking and mindset still need adjustment. I've been here for less than six months, but I'm already feeling disappointed.

One of them was fairly patient during the interview.

Cons

The other one completely ignored you throughout the entire interview and was extremely arrogant.

If you don't meet the CTO during the interview, you probably don't need to think about it anymore.

They will find an excuse and tell you that the CTO had a last-minute meeting and that they will schedule another interview, but there will never actually be another interview.

Additionally, the atmosphere inside the company is dead silent.

Pros

Simply put, this company is very good at creating an overall external image, such as building up its Facebook community. However, no one knows the actual pain and suffering of the people working inside the company. I sincerely suggest that idealistic young people who are dazzled by the words “startup,” or travel enthusiasts, think twice. This company’s strengths are its external image and luring you in to do work that is different from what you expected. However, if you want to come in to handle miscellaneous tasks, train your willpower, and strengthen your ability to withstand pressure, you can give it a try!

Cons

1. Product development that completely goes against the company’s operating philosophy. There is absolutely no such thing as “in-depth travel”; everything is profit-oriented. To make matters worse, no one even checks the actual content of the products. Some are even more expensive than if you bought them directly from local vendors yourself. (Operating philosophy: “KKday upholds the spirit of creating better travel experiences for consumers. It will continue expanding its global portfolio of travel experience products, hoping to bring the most unique and in-depth local experiences to every traveler and maximize the value of travel experiences.”)

2. The atmosphere at work is poor, completely opposite to your imagined fantasies about travel or startups—utterly lifeless.

3. The managers have problematic management skills and, on top of that, show considerable disrespect toward newcomers and frontline employees.

4. Policies are unclear, rules and systems change from day to day, and there are problems with the internal communication processes and mechanisms.

5. The division of authority, responsibility, and work across departments is uneven.

6. There is absolutely no training.

7. There are no bonuses for the three major holidays, nor is there any so-called employee travel program. (Yet the company can still call itself the world’s largest travel platform website for global local tours.)

8. Employees are overworked without overtime pay.

9. What exactly is this so-called bonus system? Maybe it is something only managers have.

10. This is a company with a fairly high turnover rate, yet there is a huge number of job openings on 104. You know what kind of company this is; I don’t need to say more. :)
