The company is located in an ordinary townhouse. I traveled a long way for the interview, only to have the interviewer sit leisurely in the living room, making tea while asking: Did you bring a résumé? Where did you graduate from? What department did you major in? Where do you live? Did you proactively apply to our company? Have you looked up information about our company? Do you know we have a fan page? Why do you want to work in sales? Why did you leave your previous job? Okay! We’ll let you know later!
That was it; the entire interview ended in less than 10 minutes. I rode for nearly 50 minutes through the cold winter rain to get there, yet they had no understanding whatsoever of the job seeker’s background! They asked for my résumé, but in front of me they only flipped through it casually for a few seconds. It was printed double-sided, and they did not even realize there was information on the back or turn it over.
For the most part, they only asked very basic personal questions. I suspect they probably did not even know my name! Utterly disrespectful! Where is your perspective? Don’t forget: while your company is interviewing job seekers, job seekers are also interviewing your company!
The company was newly established in September 2016. Its listing on 104 was not very detailed, and there was practically no information available online. Yet they still expected the job seeker to know about the company. At the very least, you should proactively provide information so job seekers can understand the company! The interview did not mention the company’s policies or compensation and benefits at all. I advise everyone not to waste their time!
