If you like reading manga or playing games, you might consider it. You can put a Japanese company name on your résumé and leave after a brief stint.
The entire company operates around the Korean chairman. Everyone stays on high alert regarding the areas the chairman focuses on, while slacking off on matters the chairman has not thought of. The overall corporate culture is “just muddle through and get things checked off,” with little concern for the products, services, or users. The chairman does not allow suggestions or questioning, so no one in the company is expected to make suggestions or think of anything that could strengthen their own area of responsibility. From senior management down, all that is required is to have “hands and feet”; brains are unnecessary. Political infighting is extremely serious throughout the company, with factions entrenched in their own territories and firmly rejecting any possible “threats” that might rise up.
If you want to coast toward retirement, you might consider it—but the ship is sinking fast, so you probably won’t be able to coast for long.
