Pros

The company went under

Cons

After being acquired by a certain group, things have gone from bad to worse.

You could say they only want to make small profits and have no intention of nurturing bigger opportunities.

If they continue operating this way, perhaps the parent company won't be able to hold on either.

Even by undercutting prices for contract manufacturing, they still can't beat mainland Chinese factories.

Pros

You can take a 1.5-hour break at noon

Cons

The software manager knows nothing and only talks. If you want to write applications or work on firmware properly, or do anything related to AI, don't even consider it.

Because once you join, you'll soon want to leave. Also, just take the story promoted on XX4 about members from major companies joining the development team with a grain of salt.

They have all left; the company has undergone many changes over the years and gone through many rounds of personnel changes.

Pros

I interviewed after Qizhuo Technology was merged into Canon Enterprise.

Currently, only the Engineering and Marketing Departments remain at Kunyang; Administration and Human Resources are supported by Canon Enterprise.

The benefits and year-end bonus sound pretty good!

Cons

Because it was a merger into a large company, there was more preparatory work before the interview,

but the interview process with HR and the relevant departments went fairly smoothly.

There were no major drawbacks; the building where the office is located is just somewhat old.

This is a subsidiary under Qiqi, Qizhuo. I previously worked at this company in sales; above me was the sales VP, and currently there is only one sales manager. Personally, I have a very poor impression of this manager, who previously worked at Qualcomm. There are several reasons:

1. Employees are expected to be available or respond on Line 24 hours a day, including weekends. If you do not work overtime, you may be fired; leaving work on time may also get you fired. You are expected to be his personal assistant and salesperson 24 hours a day, while not competing with him for sales performance. You must accommodate him, empathize with him, understand him, and deal with the traps he sets for subordinates at all times.

2. He treats subordinates like dogs. He throws tasks he cannot do himself to others, bullies those with less power, and has an extremely domineering attitude.

3. Business entertainment is normal. However, getting so drunk that you vomit all over the place and cannot come to work the next day may be unacceptable. When you help him home and he vomits everywhere, the general manager may even ask you to clean up his vomit. Then no one will appreciate you, because he was so drunk that he remembers nothing.

4. He is extremely demanding and a control freak. He needs to review almost everything, and everything has to be finished at the last minute. If it is not finished, you have to work overtime, and then he tells you that he is teaching you. :-)

5. Basically, I feel very sorry for this VP, because the last time the general manager, the technical director, and I helped him home, we learned that no one actually takes care of him. He moved out and lives by himself; the reason is not important. What I sympathize with is that he may have been treated this way throughout his sales career, so he treats his subordinates the same way when managing people. I can understand why he left Qualcomm to join a startup with only 30 employees. He has always worked in sales and had never been a manager; I was probably his first guinea pig. If the product is not good or has not been properly developed, he believes you must rely on drinking to win business, and the general manager is also happy to have someone help him hold his liquor.

6. The general manager claims to take an impartial view of the people under him, but listens entirely to direct managers. As long as the direct manager says someone is no good, the general manager will think they are no good. For this reason, I do not think the general manager of this company values talent; he probably does not have time to value talent either.

7. Minimum wage.

In the end, I do not recommend joining this company as a Sales employee. If you do consider it, I hope you will not choose the manager who previously worked at Qualcomm and drank so much that he could not come to work the next day, because in addition to having to clean up his vomit, you will also be treated unequally by him.

As for R&D, based on my own experience, I found the technical director to be extremely capable. This may also be why the general manager does not care about PMs or non-technical personnel. I believe new R&D employees can learn a lot from working here, but I still strongly advise against sales unless the VP is replaced.

Finally, as an additional note, the company’s sales and shipping processes are currently a complete mess. There are no SOPs, and no one takes the initiative to address the issues. Perhaps they are waiting for the next guinea pig. Orders frequently cannot be shipped because there is no inventory, and after-sales service is very poor. This is another reason I do not recommend sales: these processes are extremely important to both sales staff and customers. If the processes are not in place, even a small number of orders or good products will be useless, because customers will not buy again after purchasing once. However, the current VP’s approach is simply to push volume and hit the K target; as long as the general manager’s target is met, that is enough.

In the end, I do not recommend joining this company as a Sales employee. Even if you do, I hope you will not choose the manager who previously worked at Qualcomm and drank so much that he could not work the next day—the manager surnamed M—because in addition to having to clean up his vomit, you will also be treated unequally by him.

As for R&D, based on my own interactions, I found the technical director to be extremely capable. This may also be why the general manager does not care about PMs or non-technical personnel. I believe new R&D employees can learn a great deal while working here, but I still strongly advise against sales roles unless the VP is replaced.
