Pros

Convenient parking, and the headquarters is near Feng Chia UG, making it convenient to buy lunch.

Cons

Although everyone normally speaks politely to one another, after actually interacting with people, you can still sense that the overall workplace atmosphere is not particularly good. That kind of superficial politeness can instead make people feel somewhat suffocated. If you encounter a colleague who is especially enthusiastic and proactively makes small talk with you as soon as you join the company, it is actually advisable to observe them for a while first.

People here really love holding meetings—weekly meetings, project meetings, one-on-one meetings, and so on. There are many different types. One male manager in particular likes to put people on the spot. As long as he has an issue with you, he will find ways to nitpick over various details until you are almost left with nothing to say.

The company also really likes to scrutinize employees’ performance and evaluations. Even though there is already more work than can be completed each day, you still need to spend additional time preparing meeting presentations and writing work logs for your manager to review, which is extremely time-consuming overall. In addition, employees have to take turns handling office cleaning duties, such as cleaning the toilets and taking out the trash.

The company has seven hotels in total, and each hotel differs somewhat in its details, procedures, and requirements. As a result, the same task often has to be handled according to different rules, making actual execution particularly cumbersome.

I deeply regret joining this company.

Pros

1. Few rooms

2. Easy parking for work

3. The manager sometimes buys food and drinks for everyone

Cons

📌Anyone considering applying is advised to refer to these impressions from working at the Taichung Railway Station branch for three months.

1. Under no circumstances should you apply for the evening shift. The overnight shift bullies employees they dislike, and you will become a full-time employee.

2. When a part-time worker makes a mistake, full-time employees have to take responsibility and get scolded.

Even if you raise an objection and explain that the part-time worker made the mistake, you will be told, “So what? Just because they made a mistake, do you not have to clean up afterward? Are you going to let them continue working after they made a mistake?”

Meanwhile, that part-time worker and the other part-time workers are basically not reprimanded. At most, they are verbally told, “It’s okay, just don’t do it again next time~”

3. Supervisors do not address workplace bullying, verbal bullying, or disputes between colleagues, and tacitly allow them in order to drive away employees they dislike.

4. You cannot take menstrual leave. After you request leave, you will be asked to provide a doctor’s certificate and to change your shift to the evening shift for one hour.

Only after you reiterate that you truly cannot work that day will they change their response and allow you to take leave.

5. The evening shift has to do all the work of both the overnight and late shifts. Overnight-shift pay > evening-shift pay > late-shift pay.

6. When you start, there is no complete or detailed instruction on the job duties or rules and procedures. After expressing my thoughts to the overnight-shift employee, I was instead met with sarcasm: “Heh, the other overnight-shift relief worker I trained before didn’t need instruction this detailed.”

While the rules and training materials were being prepared, this person also continuously made sounds nearby by throwing things and venting their anger.

7. The overnight-shift employee applies double standards ^^. They can do something themselves, but if someone else does it and it affects them, they explode or openly and subtly mock and discipline that person.

8. The evening shift must coordinate with part-time workers over who will go downstairs to close the breakfast/self-service dining area (the common room) that day. However, because there is no proper system, the allocation is often negotiated among themselves, resulting in an uneven distribution of work.

9. One of the overnight-shift duties assigned to the evening shift is “preparing the R cards due for the current week.” The original allocation was for each person to do two weekdays. However, even after completing the assigned workload, you may still be asked, “What gives you the right to be scrolling on your phone? Have you finished your R cards? So what if you have? I see there are still two days that haven’t been done.”

When told that those were the other person’s duties, the overnight-shift employee replied, “So what? You have time to scroll on your phone. I’m doing the reports, so do them while you’re at it.”

However, those reports had not been done because the overnight-shift employee had procrastinated, and after finishing them, they proceeded to use the company computer for personal matters and scroll on their phone.

Overall, the overnight-shift employee described above was not a supervisor at all, yet acted like a junior supervisor, exercising the authority to discipline, mock, and judge colleagues of the same rank.

And, to put it nicely, the evening shift is expected to do miscellaneous tasks and help every shift; to put it bluntly, you are treated like a full-time employee. You have to know everything, including some duties of the morning shift, and must become familiar with everything and work independently within one to two months.

If you cannot get up to speed smoothly within one month, the overnight-shift employee will relentlessly @ you in the group chat, emotionally judge you through LINE on the work phone, and mock you on site when other people are present.

They also repeatedly brought the exclusion and conflicts out into the open.

Pros

None

Cons

They trot out a bunch of weird and questionable benefits to tempt you and see whether you’ll take the bait.

If you do, you’ll be stepping straight into a dung pit.

This E manager really has an overblown elitist mindset.

They don’t even consider that they’re offering only 25k today,

yet they expect to hire someone who can do everything.

And that’s not all—you also have to deal with their temper,

their spur-of-the-moment pop quizzes, and their interrogations.

You hire someone; you don’t hire them to be verbally abused by you.

They’ve supposedly been in the hotel industry for a long time,

yet they still don’t understand what it means to handle matters tactfully.

They think their principles and ideals are so lofty,

but in the end they’re still using their old-hand attitude to mess with people.
