1. The company is divided between the Taipei and Taoyuan offices, and the number of projects undertaken for government agencies each year is stable.
2. Employees at the Taipei office are divided into five teams. The supervisors and members of two of the teams are very kind and experienced, offering many opportunities to learn, but new employees are usually not assigned to these two teams.
1. The work pressure is relatively high, with no downtime and frequent overtime year-round (more than 50 hours per month; overtime cannot be reported on Saturdays). The boss only cares about how much profit you can bring to the company, so people who value work-life balance are not advised to apply. Whether employees are working seriously is judged by their overtime hours; the more overtime, the more serious they are considered (if you are not favored, certain supervisors may require you not to work overtime while still expecting you to finish everything).

3. The salary structure consists of a base salary (approximately NT$25,000–35,000) plus allowances; labor and health insurance are enrolled based only on the base salary. Overtime pay is calculated based on the base salary, there is no subsidy for overtime meals, and there is no perfect-attendance bonus. Payday is the 15th of each month (the company has a history of delaying salary payments), and salaries are adjusted once a year.

The health examination subsidy is NT$3,500, the birthday cash gift is NT$1,000, and the three seasonal bonuses are paid only for the Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival (half a month’s full salary for each). The year-end bonus is two months of full salary, and domestic and overseas trips are not provided regularly. The seasonal bonuses and year-end bonus may not be paid, depending on the boss’s and supervisors’ moods.
5. If assigned to one of the two teams at the Taipei office, employees without experience will have a starting salary close to the minimum wage. The supervisors of the two teams are the same person; this person’s moods fluctuate considerably, so interact with caution. The remaining team consists entirely of men. Its supervisor occasionally asks you to attend one-on-one meetings lasting about an hour, and this supervisor is very devoted to the company.
6. Work is not assigned according to educational background or expertise. New employees are usually responsible for physical tasks (such as site inspections), so those who want to learn design-related work should think carefully. New employees do not have much of a honeymoon period, and senior colleagues generally do not have much time to train newcomers because they have too much work.
The interviewer spoke very directly. The job was described as not easy, but it also would not always be at peak intensity; there would be slower periods to catch your breath. Overtime pay is provided for working beyond regular hours, so please do not file a complaint. The management style is American; if you have something to say, say it directly.
The work environment is somewhat cramped, transportation is not very convenient, and parking is difficult.
