Pros

The work offers a certain degree of freedom; it is a family-owned business, and neither the owner nor his wife interferes.

Cons

Because the owner and his wife do not supervise much, the company has two strict supervisors at the manager level. The main duties of this position are assistant tasks, including helping various departments, loading goods onto trucks, preparing shipping documents, cleaning, and responding on various online shopping platforms. Both supervisors manage other departments, and one of them checks attendance and asks about work progress and status from time to time. The online sales work comes with performance pressure. If you go out during the lunch break, you must clock out and clock back in upon returning. You must also clock in and out at the beginning and end of the workday, especially in the morning, when you have to queue. The company’s main entrance is opened by the owner’s wife, and the time on the time clock is set slightly slow, so by the end of the workday, you will have worked past the scheduled time.

Pros

The turnover is extremely high, making this a good fit for people who enjoy making friends, since the colleagues around you are constantly changing.

As long as you do not make any major mistakes (such as theft or assaulting a supervisor), you can basically work here for a long time—but you must not be too clueless.

Suitable for unmarried people or those from an emotionally unwarm family. If you want to be appreciated, just work overtime like crazy and keep making your presence felt in front of the supervisors.

The company is extremely frugal. If an item that everyone knows is about to break happens to break while you are using it, congratulations—you will need to pay for a new one or the repair costs. If you do not have the money, that is fine; the company will thoughtfully deduct it from your salary.

The supervisors are incredibly warm-hearted: office staff are cared for via surveillance cameras, while field staff are looked after via GPS.

The employees are extremely united—if merchandise goes missing, everyone pays for it together.

The company is extremely considerate: near the end of the workday, they may tell you not to come to work tomorrow, then, after you leave the group chat, thoughtfully gloss over the dishonor of being dismissed by portraying it as the dignified act of voluntarily resigning. When friends of the dismissed person asked that person about it, they were all deeply moved by the company’s thoughtful gesture.

Cons

A small company that views a five-day workweek as a benefit, so there is no need to expect much in the way of benefits. The monthly welfare fund deductions are completely pointless. The welfare fund is used for “employee trips” and “group meals,” but group meals are rare, and they like choosing places that are extremely far away. Employee-trip subsidies are only available after one year of employment, and even then, the subsidy is very small. A company that cannot even provide a breakdown of the welfare fund is clearly problematic. When you ask management, they will come up with a pile of reasons and excuses to fob you off.

The turnover is extremely high. Leaving work on time is a sin—it means your workload is too light and that you have not properly helped ease the burden of supervisors who work overtime until midnight.

There are no bonuses or gifts for the three major festivals, and I have never seen any of the offerings used for worship distributed to employees. Whenever something goes wrong, the company’s first priority is not to figure out how to solve it, but to work hard to identify and blame the culprit.
