A 10-person, family-like work atmosphere that carries the culture of a traditional industry company trading on an American name
The office is small and dark, with lots of cockroaches. HR has always been staffed by mainland Chinese people. Despite being established decades ago, there is still no organizational structure, and the company is internally chaotic. There have been frequent layoffs for more than a decade, and the annual reorganizations have achieved nothing. It operates a one-person-rule culture typical of a mainland Chinese company under the name of a foreign enterprise. Unless you personally enjoy office politics and small traditional-industry companies, stay away.
After people come for interviews and leave, their appearance and age are openly discussed in the office in front of current employees. Even many years after they have left the company, they are still brought up as conversation topics. Double standards are applied depending on management’s mood, and whether employees flatter them enough seems to determine how they are treated. There are hardly any evaluation standards. When senior management cannot handle customer complaints or repair issues, they pin the blame on employees and create conflicts among them. You can imagine what the company’s reputation is like. Do not apply.
