Read the community guidelinesAt the end of the year, there are about five more consecutive days off than ordinary office workers get.
The 8-to-5 schedule is very regular.
Overtime pay is very easy to scam; plenty of people stay at the company surfing the internet and cheating the company out of money. Taking leave is also extremely easy—unless you go too far, basically no one will pay attention to you.
The salary is ridiculously low.
The starting salary is around 32K for bachelor's degree holders and around 42K for master's degree holders, I think.
There is a salary adjustment every year; if you get 600, you should be laughing with joy. The raise is slower than a sloth. As a result, there is a very large gap between employees—at least an eight-year difference.
It is a good place for newcomers to build skills, but staying too long is not worthwhile. I recommend treating it as a stepping stone.
Job content:
Yamaha's domestic motorcycle design and R&D center
Handling everything from the engine to the exterior
Benefits:
Basically much better than Taiwanese companies
Everything you should have is provided (overtime pay, annual leave, labor and health insurance)
Bonuses and holidays during the three major festivals
The work environment is fairly flexible, with little pressure
There are many holidays—around 5 to 8 days, as announced by the Executive Yuan
Salary:
Bachelor's degree: starting at 32,000–34,000
Master's degree: an additional 10,000
A steady job that won't leave you starving, but you won't get rich either
However, there is an unspoken rule requiring overtime
More overtime > better performance review
Less overtime > average performance review
More suitable for young people just entering the workforce
If you have worked elsewhere for a while before coming here, your seniority will be recalculated from scratch
Those seriously considering changing jobs should choose carefully
Especially since the probationary period lasts as long as six months
A 100% Japanese-owned company! Working hours are 7:50–17:20, and you can apply for flexible working hours by starting one hour earlier and finishing one hour earlier. You can submit a request each week, and all additional hours worked are paid as overtime! Lunch is provided in the company cafeteria, with buffet-style rice and noodles to choose from, plus sweet soup! A new set of winter and summer uniforms is provided every two years! If you are a test rider, you are also provided with a complete leather riding suit worth NT$10,000!
High-pressure Japanese-style management; reports and documents must be extremely meticulous!
A stable, good company. The company also provides a Japanese language allowance.
