Interview experience

There were two interviews.

The first interview was with the HR manager.

I introduced myself in Japanese, and was asked about my English proficiency, including whether I could speak English, as well as whether I would accept being rotated to different positions every few years, since the company does this, among other questions.

The second interview

I interviewed with a senior Japanese executive. The interviewer did not ask much in Japanese—perhaps they were not interested in my résumé!?

However, I got the impression that both English and Japanese need to be good to have a chance of getting in.

<Not hired>

There was more than a month between the first and second interviews.....

It was really too long!
