Sharing a former colleague’s experience
This company’s external image is extremely polished. It benefits from the halo of being a “well-known Japanese company,” creating the positive illusion that it has a well-established system, good benefits, and is a “large, reputable company.”
However, once you actually join, you discover that internally it is severely lacking in rules and systems, and management is extremely chaotic. Because employee turnover is extremely high, the company ultimately cannot retain professional talent. The people who end up in managerial positions are often parachuted in from strange, completely unrelated industries, creating the absurd situation of outsiders leading insiders.
Working here will completely overturn your values. People who work seriously receive no recognition; instead, everyone simply dumps work on them until they eventually resign in dejection under inexplicable and extreme emotional exhaustion. Fresh graduates should think very carefully before joining. Workplace bullying incidents are common.
