The only advantage is leaving work on time.
The list of drawbacks is endless.
1. The company has no clear division of job responsibilities. You simply do whatever senior employees tell you to do—even tasks outside your responsibilities. For example, receiving and dispatching goods is handled by sales and production control, while procurement does it, rather than the warehouse staff as we would expect.
2. Sales staff also have to go into the factory to handle tasks such as labeling, carrying baskets, blister-packing items one by one, and counting the quantities. They say it is a recheck, but the factory either does not count the items or counts them incorrectly. Shipped goods are left scattered around, so sales staff have to search and ask around themselves. If they fail to ask someone, it is considered the sales staff’s fault.
3. If you have to go on a business trip, make sure you see the business-trip policy in writing before deciding whether to go, because there is basically no travel allowance, and meal allowances are paid arbitrarily. After a nine-day business trip, I was given only two blue banknotes, as if I were begging. They simply let it slide if you did not ask; only after I asked did they say the receipts needed to be checked. There was not even compensatory leave for Saturdays and Sundays. Before the trip, I had already discussed everything with the boss, but the policy was never properly written. Only after returning did I discover that everything was an empty promise. Be careful—they are very good at making grand promises.
3. An accounting colleague shared that, only after joining, the boss’s wife said the salary would be reduced by NT$3,000 because of the probationary period, even though this was never mentioned during the interview! It is completely deceptive!!! An utterly awful company!
4. Senior employees are practically in charge of everything. The company has no procedures for many matters; whatever senior employees say goes, and if you raise concerns, they treat it as though you are causing trouble.
5. There are virtually no benefits: no holiday bonuses, no meal allowance, and taking even one hour of leave results in an additional NT$200 deduction from your perfect-attendance bonus. I heard the year-end bonus is pitifully small. It is an unbelievably stingy, awful company.
The turnover rate is ridiculously high. Think very carefully before joining.
