高香貿易有限公司
Pros

- The company is relatively small, and the work covers a broad range of areas, providing simultaneous exposure to domestic business, international business, logistics, shipping, factory coordination, customer development, and other practical responsibilities.

- On the international business side, the role involves hands-on experience in overseas market development, searching for importers / distributors / buyers, writing English outreach emails, follow-up, samples, quotations, PIs, logistics, and hosting overseas customers. For those who want to understand the practical aspects of international trade, it offers considerable hands-on experience.

- There are opportunities to engage in overseas customer development and business opportunity tracking from the ground up, rather than handling only routine sales administration.

- Decision-making and work rhythms are faster in a small company, making it suitable for people who are comfortable multitasking and enjoy handling different types of work.

Cons

**The job responsibilities and title can differ significantly.** The position was advertised as a “Sales Assistant,” but the actual work simultaneously covered domestic sales, international sales, logistics, shipping, moving and shelving goods, administrative errands, DM / presentation production, and event support, with unclear boundaries between responsibilities.

The actual employment arrangement was with another newly established company. During the period of employment, I was essentially the company’s only employee, so many different types of work were concentrated on one person.

Domestic and international sales had to be handled simultaneously. In addition to cold outreach and follow-up, the role also involved a large amount of logistics, shipping, documentation, and other ad hoc assignments (labor service at temples), which could easily fragment the time available for genuine business development.

If you hope to focus on building experience in overseas market development, negotiation, closing deals, and overseas customer management, there is still a considerable amount of non-sales work to handle in practice.

Some DMs, presentations, and external-facing materials had relatively short deadlines and sometimes had to be completed within a few hours or about a day. The relevant AI / production tools and some resources were mainly prepared by the individual.

Work results were sometimes questioned or revisions were requested directly in company group chats. The communication style was relatively direct, so employees needed to adapt to the company’s management approach.

Overall, the role can help build broad experience, but if a job seeker places greater importance on clear division of responsibilities, comprehensive training, and focusing on a single professional skill set, it is strongly recommended to confirm the actual job content and the proportion of each type of work before the interview.

The compensation is at the level of a domestic sales assistant, but the scope of work includes multiple professional skill sets, such as international sales and advertising design. Those who cannot accept this arrangement are advised not to try it.
