Overall Experience Rating】 ★★☆☆☆ (2/5)
【Environment and Atmosphere】
1. Office environment: The company operates out of a residential property that also serves as an office. The space is enclosed and has no open windows for ventilation. Several types of animals are kept there (such as dogs, meerkats, and capybaras). Although dedicated staff are hired to care for them, the enclosed space and the fact that the dogs use indoor pee pads mean that the air can have noticeably strong and complex odors. Those who are sensitive to odors or allergic to animal fur should take note.
2. Secondhand smoke: The boss and the work crew often smoke in indoor areas, and the smell of smoke will inevitably drift into the small office room. Even running an air purifier cannot effectively improve the situation. The secondhand smoke problem is very serious.
3. Communication and team atmosphere: Colleagues get along well privately, but the overall work atmosphere during office hours is very serious and subdued. The boss’s wife prefers a quiet, silent environment. Even when sharing the same office (approximately 5–6 people), you must first confirm via LINE message before having an in-person discussion!
4. Leave requests and hardware facilities: The leave policy is extremely inflexible, and you may easily face rather strict questioning. The office air-conditioning equipment is inadequate, so it feels relatively hot and stuffy in summer.
【Differences in Salary and Benefits】
• The 104 job listing states that meals are provided, but in reality, meals are not provided; instead, a lunch allowance is paid. This differs somewhat from the recruitment posting.
• The salary structure is about the same as that of typical traditional industries and is not better.
【Overall Recommendation】
This is a company with a distinctly traditional, local style, and the boss and the boss’s wife have their own unique management approach.
Everyone has a different level of tolerance for their work environment. If you:
• Really like animals and do not mind the odors of an enclosed space
• Are completely insensitive to indoor secondhand smoke
• Are accustomed to an extremely quiet management style that relies on communication software
• Urgently need a job
Then consider the above.
