One pack of toilet paper per month. Overtime meal allowance. As long as you want to join, you’re basically hired on the spot after the interview. Lots of people chat at work and have nothing to do.
Business trips require taking public transportation. Low travel allowances. Poor accommodation.
No compensatory leave for overtime. There is no compensatory leave for overtime during business trips or working Saturdays; even when returning to Taiwan during consecutive national holidays, you cannot make up the leave.
They pretend to offer birthday leave, then cancel it later. They’re very afraid that employees will take advantage of it.
The performance-review leave process is decided by the boss. The year-end bonus is split into three installments paid over six months—it’s really damn frustrating.
Chairman Huang has the final say. He often loudly berates people at the company. Everything has to be done immediately; as for molds, just start making them first—money is no object.
Getting things done isn’t important; you have to know how to manage people. Everyone from top to bottom is taught this way. It’s the mindset of a contract manufacturer that will never improve.
