I worked as an engineer here for approximately five years.
【Regarding integrity】 In my third year, a publicly listed company offered me more than 1.3 times my salary to recruit me. At the time, my company made strong promises that it would adjust my compensation in order to retain me. I chose to trust the company and stay, but in the end, my salary was increased by only NT$2,000. The gap between this and the grand promises initially made was enormous, making it feel as though the company had no genuine intention of retaining employees. I was extremely disappointed.
【Regarding policies】 Due to health reasons, I legally applied to use my accumulated annual leave and sick leave, and I completed all assigned work on time during my employment. However, the company used this as a reason to make things difficult for me, even evaluating me based on “failure to collaborate across departments” (requiring engineers to assist with creating digital teaching materials during their free time). After the evaluation, I received only NT$6,000 in year-end compensation.
This is a company that gives you a low year-end bonus because you take “legally entitled leave,” and it is also quite perfunctory when it comes to salary promises. I recommend that job seekers consider this carefully so they do not waste valuable time in their careers.

【Advice for design/teaching-materials production job seekers】 If you are not applying for an engineering position but instead want to pursue a design career, please note that much of the work here involves “creating teaching materials.” In my personal opinion, this type of work provides very little benefit for those who want to enter the professional design industry in the future (it lacks market value).
Unless the company offers an extremely high salary (but based on my observations, this company’s salaries are generally not very competitive), this job is suitable only for inexperienced recent graduates (“newbies”) who want to briefly gain experience and pad their résumés. I strongly recommend switching career paths as soon as you have gained some work experience, rather than staying too long in a job that adds limited value to your career.
