No advantages

1. On the second day after I started, I was told that my “progress was seriously behind schedule.”

2. The company uses Asana to manage projects, but the boss’s wife has her own bizarre categorization habits. No one teaches you; you have to figure it out yourself.

3. The boss and his wife have extremely old-fashioned taste.

4. Several times, projects came in without any information at all, and I was told to look up past references online and just do it myself. After finishing, I was told that I had taken the project in the wrong direction??

5. Revisions go on forever. The only responses are always “It doesn’t feel right,” “I don’t think it works,” or “It doesn’t feel refined enough.” They rarely provide any concrete suggestions about what needs to be changed.

6. You need to be prepared to make 20 versions of a single draft (and it still might not be approved).

7. During the interview, I asked how many days were usually given to complete a project. The boss said one to two weeks, but after I joined, every project had to be completed in one to two days, including researching references, sketching, and going through rounds of revisions.

8. Every project gets stuck internally, with repeated proposals and reworking.

9. Every sketch has to be accompanied by a “rationale,” but their own designs look like they were assembled from stock assets. The rationale gets 100 points while the design gets 10.

10. They never tell you what the client likes. With every revision, they give you a little more information. Only after collecting 10 rounds of revisions can you vaguely understand what the project is supposed to do. They never explain everything at the beginning—amazing. It’s as if they enjoy wasting time.

This company is always hiring. On 104, it constantly shows that resumes were processed 2–3 hours ago.

There’s a reason!! You’re basically disposable chopsticks to them.

Designers, don’t join just because the salary looks okay. In reality, you won’t be able to last even a month before leaving.
