The desk is very large and fairly comfortable, with lots of good food nearby.
Save whoever you can :) It’s an extremely traditional Taiwanese business culture, and an emotional manager will directly berate people in the office == The marketing department manager I encountered had no sense of boundaries and didn’t know how to respect people. They loved making assumptions, labeling people, and then scolding them without distinguishing right from wrong ^ ^ This included calling you the day before you were due to report for work to tell you to join a meeting??? They would always call only after work, never set a time in advance, expect subordinates to somehow know the reporting standards and procedures, and you could never tell what would suddenly set them off. (They would even say things like, “Go ask around the company whether your behavior was appropriate”—such an unconstructive remark 🫰🏻.) In summary: run.
