It loudly proclaims to the outside world that it will use cutting-edge artificial intelligence to overturn the world, and at first glance looks like an AI startup riding the crest of the technological wave. In reality, the so-called AI is nothing more than façade dressing; what truly keeps daily operations going is batch after batch of outsourced workers, brought in merely to barely fill the staffing gap. This same charade is staged again and again, and the problem has never truly disappeared.

Everyone knows in their hearts that this meeting will ultimately end up like those in the past: no conclusion, no change. I lowered my head to glance at the watch on my wrist, secretly calculating how much longer this illusion could hold.

🍩 Lynn from HR is always unusually enthusiastic about every little company matter, as if she were an all-around service Leader. Yet whenever an issue truly comes to the surface, she always manages to deftly withdraw. In the end, he only coldly tosses out, “I only look at Performances,” leaving everyone both amused and exasperated, able to do nothing but wait around.

🍩jack is the company’s all-purpose representative to the outside world, smooth and considerate with clients, impeccable in every detail; but the moment he turns to face the internal team, his tone seems to switch modes. He throws out one problem after another, with airtight logic, yet never provides any solutions, leaving everyone spinning in circles in a whirlpool of discussion, with even his body language filled with exhaustion.

🍩 james is always completely absorbed in staring at the whiteboard during meetings, his pen never stopping, yet what she raises is a series of questions that are nearly impossible to put into practice. She seems to have little interest in “how to solve them”; the issues she writes down look more like a puzzle game designed to consume time, with more pieces appearing one after another.

🍩 Li✠Yu’s desktop resembles an exhibit of values, constantly reminding you that “opinions that do not conform to the mainstream have no market.” In his eyes, your suggestion is like the puff of air released after eating a sweet potato—gone in an instant.
