There is very little actual work, and the work is not very difficult!

This is Merida's flagship store in northern Taiwan. The store manager is extremely nagging; whenever it rains and there are few customers, he switches into a mode of finding things to nag about for no reason. Since the bikes are assembled as complete units, you basically cannot learn bicycle repair skills. After unpacking a complete bike, you just attach the handlebars, adjust the brakes and gears, and on regular days help customers replace inner tubes and tires, replace brake pads, and wash bicycles. But the worst is when there is nothing to do—you are expected to demonstrate the ability to find things to do for no reason. I personally saw a coworker using floor wax to clean the plastic-rubber flooring, and then the store manager kept finding things to nag about. The worst part is that he constantly repeats, “Make another mistake and your pay will be deducted.” This place is only suitable for people who want to coast through the days and can let things go in one ear and out the other!
