Because I applied for a quality assurance position, all of the pros and cons are specific to QA.
1. The office is for one person.
2. You can freely use the internet on the computer.
3. Calipers are the only inspection tool used for everything.
1. Work procedures: Basically, no one trains you, and even the daily reports that should theoretically be recorded are not provided.
2. Unclear drawing markings: Sometimes they use process drawings as inspection drawings, but some dimensions are process-related, and many important dimensions are not marked. As a result, a lot of time is often wasted looking for the dimensions to inspect.
3. Tools: A caliper is used for everything. Worn thread gauges are not replaced, and the thickness gauges and compasses are rusty, yet worn-out tools are still made available for you to use. (Even the caliper calibration date may not be up to date.)
4. You have to clean the office yourself.
5. When you point out defective products and ask the on-site personnel to make improvements, they often say you are doing more than necessary, so you frequently do not know how to respond.
6. The Quality Assurance Department’s documents are incomplete.
7. Lunch is not provided.
