I came to interview for an HR position, and the interviewer explained that the job responsibilities included recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee relations, performance evaluation, and so on.
Pros:
1. Interaction with people: The work is diverse, allowing you to interact and communicate with all kinds of people and improve your communication skills.
2. A sense of achievement: Accomplishing win-win goals—for example, protecting employee rights while following company policies—can provide a sense of achievement.
3. Supporting company employees: By providing guidance and support, you can help employees solve problems and improve their well-being at work.
The pressure of being caught in the middle: You often need to strike a balance between employee rights and company policies. When implementing company decisions, you may face difficult dilemmas and may even be seen as taking the company’s side against employees.
