Pros

Actually, the manager and the boss were both very kind and pleasant. During the interview, we discussed product characteristics and pharmaceutical regulations. I shared that in the past I had also avoided using illegal terms, and the manager shared some of the terms they had used. During the interview with the boss, I mentioned that I had not yet resigned from my current position (which was clearly stated on my résumé). The boss happily said, “Okay, let’s see what the last day is,” and told HR, “We’ll keep in touch.”

Cons

Both the manager and the boss said they welcomed me and asked me to discuss my start date with HR. I hoped HR would send me an offer letter first (because I had been deceived not long ago), but HR told me to resign from my current position and confirm my final working day, and that they would issue it to me after discussing it with the manager. As a result, I resigned and informed them of my final working day. Two days later, I received a phone call informing me that, because the products were special, the wording used in marketing had to be handled very carefully; if there were fines, they could amount to several hundred thousand or even millions. They asked whether I had relevant work experience. I said that I had encountered similar situations in my previous job and that I would always check carefully first when it came to marketing terminology. They then said that because the previous employee had already left, there was a gap between my available start date and the date they needed someone to begin (only one week), so there was no way to hand over the work properly and they could not hire me. I truly cannot understand this at all.
