HR was very humorous and spared the job applicant a wasted trip.
At the end of last year, in December 2024, I submitted my résumé through a job bank and arranged an interview time. Just before leaving home on the day of the interview, I received a notification from HR saying that the interviewing manager had suddenly developed a high fever and been admitted to the emergency room. They said they would contact me again about the specific interview time after the manager was discharged in one to two weeks. Nearly a year has passed, and I still don’t know whether the manager was discharged or is in good health. In any case, I never heard anything further, and the position was closed. It was quite speechless.
