The company’s HR also handles finance, and they’re a really nice person.
Position: Sales Assistant
The actual job situation was very different from what was described during the interview! The work was miscellaneous and there was a lot of it. During the interview, the sales manager said the duties were routine, the workday was eight hours, and you would probably only need to work for five or six of those hours. The handover would take only one week, but there was no need to worry or feel nervous—you could just learn things one at a time. However, after I joined, I had to work overtime for several days without overtime pay. There were many details to pay attention to, and the work was both miscellaneous and plentiful. On the morning of the last day of my second week, at around 10 a.m., the sales manager called me in and directly told me to leave. In other words, they said I hadn’t learned quickly enough and wasn’t suitable for the job!
During both the interview and after I joined, they kept saying there was no need to worry or feel nervous, and that I should go to them if there were any issues. But when they told me to leave, they said I hadn’t learned quickly enough. How can a company say one thing and do another?! On top of that, they told me to pack up my things and leave immediately. It felt really awful!
