There is nothing to recommend. Please, job seekers, don't come here and step on a landmine. This department is even more intense than jumping from a building during an alternative military service placement in Neihu.
This position is called Quality Assurance Department Failure Analysis Engineer and is located in Zhongli—an absolute minefield. I heard that eight people, including me, were hired for the FA positions, but only one technically outstanding senior colleague survived for more than a year. Everyone else was driven out by a manager whose surname is He and whose English name starts with J shortly after joining. I heard that one person lasted only two weeks. My résumé clearly stated that I had no circuit-design background, yet after I joined and they discovered I didn't know these things, he actually asked, “Didn't you learn this at school?” and said that the questions I asked were too basic.
Damn, as someone without a relevant major, isn't asking questions the best way to get up to speed quickly?
Moreover, the senior colleague had already noticed the major gap between my skills and the job requirements before you hired me. After making such a mess, they still wanted to pressure me into resigning voluntarily—absolutely shameless. Another especially infuriating thing is that, when I was hired, I was already working in Thailand. They lured me over by saying the job would involve working in the United States, but later I discovered that this was not actually feasible locally. Please understand: at the time, I had already been learning from the engineers at the Thai company that had hired me and was working on projects there. After joining, I discovered within a month that this job was a complete dump. All I felt was anger. Someone with no integrity whatsoever has no business being a manager!
Moreover, no one in the entire department has a single positive thing to say about Mr. He. Other departments consider this manager a total disaster as well. How could upper management still promote him? It is utterly absurd. Do they want him to keep rising through the ranks, increasing the number of people he harms and the company's turnover rate?
