Pros

There’s a chance of running into Eric Chu in the elevator on the way to work, making it suitable for Kuomintang fans who enjoy celebrity spotting.

Cons

Internal infighting is severe, and the strategy is scattershot. After burning through the funding, the company began massive layoffs, even directly laying off early members. Salaries have never been increased; the company only promises stock and sells grand visions. Severance is limited to the statutory minimum under Taiwan’s Labor Standards Act.

The company’s “meteor” development still has no QA, and it likes to release new features directly to production without any safeguards. Senior management likes to bypass PMs and give orders directly to R&D, does not respect employees’ off-hours, and even calls directly during holidays.

Now the company treats AI as a silver bullet. The COO does not do his job properly and spends all day hyping AI through “Vibe Coding.” The resulting Vibe-coded products are handed off to internal R&D to take over. Not a single R&D employee selected for this wants to stay.

There is also a PM who allegedly got in through connections and cannot even draw a wireframe. He only mouths off requirements and manages upward, is often absent from the office, and shifts the blame or makes excuses whenever problems arise. This has left the UI/UX and R&D teams full of complaints. Most importantly, he was somehow not included in the massive layoffs and is being allowed to continue making a mess.
