Pros

The scenery is nice

Cons

An extremely grueling and awful job—do not come here under any circumstances!!

I applied for a sales position, but was required to follow the engineering team from the very beginning. This is not ordinary engineering work; the working environment is extremely harsh. If you are sent to a food factory, the floor is wet and dirty, the air is filled with a sour, rotten stench, and it is extremely hot and stuffy—so nauseating that you would vomit after staying for even one minute.

On top of that, many systems are currently being changed. When you calculate it all out, the salary and working environment are not worth it. As a salesperson, you need to know how to draw, visit clients, and support engineering work. If there are urgent projects, you may have to work overtime until the early hours of the morning on holidays, and there is a high chance you will have to do this frequently.

Sales staff also need to know how to repair pumps and some controllers. When there is a staff shortage, you will have to help with field work and repairs. You also have to carry heavy objects—a single pump weighs more than ten kilograms. People who are not used to physical work can easily get injured, and it is very easy to scrape your hands.

In Taiwan, anywhere you can drive to does not count as a business trip. Unless there is engineering work to do, you are expected to drive there and back in the same day. The company is extremely lean, so you will not have a moment to slack off!!

Do not come here under any circumstances!! This is important enough to say three times. The working environment is extremely hot, stuffy, and harsh, and the systems are currently being changed. They will tell you that you can earn a lot later on, but that money comes at the cost of blood, sweat, and tears. If you are not suited to it, you really will not be able to earn it. I sincerely advise you to look for another job—it would be much more practical!!!

You will spend all day doing repairs, have to take an exam after three months, and then the work at the sites is still extremely grueling. You need a manual-transmission driver's license, and every day you will be exhausted like a dog.
