Pros

The company environment is spacious, very new, and very clean.

Cons

The atmosphere in the administrative office is very cold. They do not train new employees or prepare their seats in advance. They had more than enough time—two full weeks—before I started, but two weeks later, when I arrived at the company, they had not prepared a desk, computer, or even the software I needed. They showed no respect at all and were extremely careless. There was no HR representative, only someone filling in. By my fifth day at work, no one had introduced themselves by name. During work, they would only assign tasks and never address colleagues by name—it was extremely rude. Strangely enough, everyone seemed to have the same attitude. Also, you have to ask about everything you do not know, including the company rules, before anyone will tell you; if you do not ask, you are the one who loses out. There are all kinds of absurd rules. You are not allowed to eat breakfast at the company because the boss’s wife is afraid of cockroaches (then why not just ban lunch too?), so the company does not provide trash cans either, and you have to take your trash to the restroom yourself. It is also ridiculous that they confiscate phones. Phones must be collected during work hours, but sometimes employees need to contact clients. Because the phones are kept in a cabinet, you have to retrieve yours whenever you need it and put it back afterward. This rule is completely absurd. I asked the boss what to do if there were an emergency and I needed to be contacted. He replied that I could just use LINE on the computer to communicate. ^^⁣

The boss also has serious problems. There were already many signs during the interview, but I joined with the mindset that the existing employees might not necessarily be bad. Who would have thought that I would get a huge shock on my very first day? Even though there are employees in their 20s, everyone’s attitude toward work is like that of an old-timer. The boss bears a great deal of responsibility for the employees’ carelessness. He often says that certain employees are bad and criticizes their ways of working, but he also says that he does not want to manage them and prefers to let employees brainstorm. From what I could see, he was simply shirking his responsibilities. He even said that he wanted to retire because he did not want to manage things anymore (all of the above were things he personally told me). Yet because the people in the administrative office were so careless, he still had to personally keep an eye on them. I originally did not intend to stay even a week, but because the boss was often absent from the office, I held out until the end of the week and then left as quickly as possible. It is an absurd company. They must have too much money: they are willing to hire employees at the salary the interviewees ask for, yet they have a pile of bizarre rules, a poor and chaotic office atmosphere, and an overall situation that is simply ridiculous.
