It’s basically just computer sales work, and it’s easy.
The cost of gifts is actually deducted from salespeople’s gross margin. There aren’t many salespeople with a conscience; everyone is bragging about how high the margins are and how gullible the customers are. Procurement clearly buys at higher costs than others, yet still pretends nothing is wrong. The gifts never make it to the frontline stores. And the assembly department is basically a joke: parts are purchased in small quantities at high prices. The senior management are self-satisfied, so forget about promotions—apart from Taipei elites and people with connections, it’s basically impossible to move up in central and southern Taiwan.
