After the first interview, they notified me a month later about a second interview,

but by then I had already found a job and politely declined.

Later, the manager in the United States contacted me and said they were preparing to make me an offer,

hoping that I could interview with an even more senior manager in the United States.

We scheduled it for Saturday morning, but the more senior manager in the United States had something come up and did not attend that day…

The original manager briefly asked me about the compensation package of the offer I had received and then logged off.

Naturally, they never gave me the offer they had promised afterward.

So, were they just trying to obtain salary information?

It left me feeling quite disappointed.
