After the first interview, they notified me a month later about a second interview,
but by then I had already found a job and politely declined.
Later, the supervisor in the United States contacted me and said they were ready to give me an offer,
hoping that I could interview with an even higher-level supervisor in the United States.
We scheduled it for Saturday morning, but the higher-level supervisor in the United States had something come up and did not show up that day…
The original supervisor asked me about the compensation package of the offer I had received and then went offline.
Afterward, of course, they never gave me the offer they had promised.
So was this just an attempt to obtain salary information?
It left me feeling quite disappointed.
