A month after the first interview, I was notified that I would have a second interview.

However, I had already found a job by then, so I politely declined.

Later, the manager in the U.S. contacted me and said they were ready to give me an offer,

hoping that I could interview with a higher-level manager in the U.S.

We scheduled it for Saturday morning, but the higher-level manager in the U.S. had something come up and did not show up that day…

The original manager asked me about the compensation package of the offer I had received and then logged off.

Of course, they never gave me the promised offer afterward.

So, were they just trying to obtain salary information?

It left me feeling quite disappointed.
