1. This is a “traditional industry” company, and all the stereotypical conditions associated with traditional industries in Taiwan’s workplace environment are present here.
2. Employees who stay 10–20 minutes past the end of the workday are considered good employees. Clocking out and leaving on time is seen as a sign of a lack of initiative.
3. Even if an employee completes many work projects during their employment and is never late or leaves early, the person in charge will still judge the employee’s value based on their own preferences.
