Paid on time
1. A morning meeting every two weeks. You can’t be late or take leave. Everyone has to prepare a speech and chant the company slogan (seriously).
2. You have to bring your own toilet paper.
3. You have to wear the company uniform every day (it’s ugly).
4. Everyone has to clean every day, taking turns cleaning the toilets.
5. No meals provided, and the factory has no air conditioning.
6. You have to take turns answering the phone at lunchtime.
7. Salary raises and promotions are not transparent; you only get a raise if the boss feels like it.
8. Meetings are extremely frequent and mostly pointless.
9. There’s a lot of scheming among colleagues. Personal matters get brought up in meetings, and the infighting is intense.
10. You can’t wear flip-flops or sandals when it rains; if your pant legs get wet, that’s your problem.
11. Asking for a raise gets you treated like an ungrateful ingrate. The company will only feed you air biscuits.
12. Employees come up with all the solutions; the managers have little ability to solve problems.
13. The boss likes hearing flattering words. It doesn’t matter if you lack ability—as long as you know how to talk.
14. Everything is all talk with no follow-through. It’s truly pathetic.
15. If they take a dislike to you, they’ll call you out in the announcement group.
16. You’re not allowed to eat breakfast.
17. Not participating in company activities will result in KPI points being deducted.
18. They love saying that we’re “Yake family,” then later say we’re not family because family would forgive unconditionally (if you know, you know). LOL
