Paid on time
1. A company-wide meeting every two weeks. You can’t be late or take leave, and everyone has to prepare a speech and shout the company slogan (seriously).
2. You have to bring your own toilet paper.
3. You have to wear the company uniform every day (it’s ugly).
4. Everyone has to clean every day, taking turns cleaning the toilets.
5. No meals provided, and the factory has no air conditioning.
6. You have to be on duty at noon to answer the phone.
7. Salary adjustments and promotions are not transparent; you only get a raise when the boss feels like it.
8. Meetings are extremely frequent, and most of them lack a clear purpose.
9. There’s a lot of scheming among colleagues. Personal matters get brought up in meetings, and the infighting is intense.
10. When it rains, you’re not allowed to wear flip-flops or sandals. If your pant legs get wet, that’s your own problem.
11. Asking for a raise makes you an ungrateful person. The company will only feed you “air biscuits.”
12. Employees come up with all the solutions; the managers have little ability to solve problems.
13. The boss likes hearing flattering words. It doesn’t matter if you lack ability—as long as you know how to talk.
14. Everything is all talk with no follow-through. It’s pathetic.
15. If they take a dislike to you, you’ll be publicly called out in the group chat.
16. You’re not allowed to eat breakfast.
17. If you don’t participate in company activities, your KPI score will be deducted.
18. They love saying that we are “Yake family,” then turn around and say we’re not family because family would forgive unconditionally (if you know, you know). LOL
