To evade the Labor Standards Act, the company requires employees to first fill out an “Overtime Estimate Report” by the end of the previous month and obtain the general manager’s approval before working overtime; otherwise, the overtime will not be counted or paid. Employees must also fill out a “Voluntary Overtime Application Form” to evade the Labor Standards Act, making the government believe that employees voluntarily work overtime. In reality, wages are extremely low, so employees have to rely on overtime pay to make up for it.
When working overtime, no boxed meals or meal allowances are provided.
For leave requests, when they involve a consecutive holiday (Saturday and Sunday), the general manager must approve the request before leave can be taken. If requesting two or more days off, employees must also write a report for the general manager’s approval. Annual leave is mandated by the government; as long as work progress is not affected, the company should not control how I use it. However, the general manager of this company really does reject requests, and employees have to escalate the matter and submit their resignation before approval will be granted.
Salaries are calculated manually, and payment always takes five business days. If there is a holiday, payment is guaranteed to be delayed further; it is never paid on time. The compensation system is divided into a responsibility-based system, an overtime-based system, and a monthly payment system in which half is paid monthly and the other half is paid every three months.
