To evade the Labor Standards Act, the company requires employees to first submit an “overtime estimate report” by the end of the previous month for the general manager’s approval before working overtime; otherwise, the overtime will not be counted or paid. Employees must also fill out a “voluntary overtime application form” to evade the Labor Standards Act, making the government believe that employees volunteered to work overtime. In reality, wages are kept extremely low, so employees have to rely on overtime pay to make up for it.
When working overtime, no boxed meals or meal allowances are provided.
For leave requests, when there is a consecutive holiday period (Saturday and Sunday), approval from the general manager is required before leave can be taken. If requesting more than two days of leave, employees must also write a report for the general manager’s approval. Annual leave is mandated by the government; as long as work progress is not affected, I should be able to take it as I wish, and the company should not interfere. However, the general manager of this company really does reject requests, and only agrees to approve them after employees make a major issue of it and submit their resignations.
Salaries are all calculated manually, and payment takes five working days in all cases. If a holiday occurs, payment is guaranteed to be delayed further; it is never paid on time. The salary system is divided into a responsibility-based system, an overtime system, and a monthly payment system in which half is paid monthly and the other half is paid every three months.
If you are considering joining this company, please think very carefully.
