To evade the Labor Standards Act, the company requires employees to first fill out an “Overtime Estimate Report” by the end of the previous month and obtain the general manager’s approval before working overtime; otherwise, the overtime will not be counted or paid. Employees must also fill out a “Voluntary Overtime Application Form” to evade the Labor Standards Act, making the government believe that employees volunteered to work overtime. In reality, the salaries are extremely low, so employees have to rely on overtime pay to make up for it.
When working overtime, no boxed meals or missed-meal allowances are provided.
For leave, when it falls around a consecutive holiday period (Saturday and Sunday), employees must obtain the general manager’s signature and approval before taking leave. If taking two or more days of leave, employees must also write a report for the general manager’s approval. Annual leave is stipulated by the government; as long as work progress is not affected, the company should not be able to control how I use it. However, the general manager of this company really does reject leave requests, and employees have to make a major issue of it and submit their resignation before the request will be approved.
Salaries are all calculated manually, and payment invariably takes five business days. When there is a holiday, payment is guaranteed to be delayed further; it is never paid on time. The pay system is divided into a responsibility-based system, an overtime-based system, and a monthly system in which half is paid monthly and the other half is paid every three months.
If you are considering joining this company, please think very carefully.
