To evade the Labor Standards Act, the company requires employees to first fill out an “Overtime Estimate Report” by the end of the previous month and obtain the general manager’s approval before working overtime; otherwise, the overtime will not be counted for pay. Employees must also fill out a “Voluntary Overtime Application Form” to evade the Labor Standards Act, making the government mistakenly believe that employees volunteered to work overtime. In reality, wages are extremely low, so employees have to rely on overtime pay to make up for it.
When working overtime, no boxed meals or meal allowances are provided.
For leave requests, when there is a consecutive holiday period (Saturday and Sunday), employees must obtain the general manager’s signature and approval before taking leave. If taking two or more days of leave, employees must also write a report for the general manager’s approval. Annual leave is stipulated by the government; as long as work progress is not affected, the company should not control how I take it. However, the general manager of this company really does reject requests, and employees have to make a major issue of it and submit their resignations before approval is granted.
Salaries are calculated manually, and payment always takes five working days. When there is a holiday, payment is guaranteed to be delayed further; it is never paid on time. The salary system is divided into a responsibility-based system, an overtime-based system, and a monthly salary system in which one-half is paid monthly and the other half is paid every three months.
